He was right when he said it before. We need merit based immigration.

It would have kept Trump's grandfather out of the U.S. after all (he was expelled from Germany for draft-dodging).

I do notice that when the United States had no "merit-based" immigration law at all, those were the decades when the United States became a world economic power, and our standard of living rose rapidly.

See, the Catholic do bow to them so not sure why you find it so surprising.

The Catechism of the Church regards statues only as sacrementals, with no intrinsic power whatever, and that it is a sin to believe that they do have power. A statue of Jesus is only there to remind us of him and focus our worship on Jesus, not the statue.

If that's all that the Golden Trump is to his followers, then yes, they are worshiping Trump, not the representation of him.

Right - you're not allowed to have statues of the saints. Trump's not a saint, so there's no problem. Duh.

Correct. No saint, so no saint veneration. Also, CPAC isn't a church. Plus, no worship services are being conducted in the convention hall.

But other than for the fact that there isn't any connection, it's a scandal.

In other words, the whole thread has been nonsense.

A time with much lower taxes and regulation also. Nations like Canada, Australia, Switzerland, etc. have merit based immigration, being related to someone with chain migration is an accident, not a qualification. We need to take the best from any nation. Why do 25% of our LEGAL immigrants come from Mexico?

For real worship of a politician, see how Obama was treated, his followers were all Hopium addicts.

Then catholics do bow to statues.

As far as I know, no one bows to the Trump image.

LOL!

Golly Gee, you got me there.

Always happy to educate.

I'll be curious to see how your argument now Pivots, since what seemed to be its main tenet, has been erased.

Bowing to statues either bothers you, or it doesn't.
You either think it's wrong, or you don't.

Unless it depends on the Statue for you?
Or perhaps you believe it depends solely on what is in the heart of the person doing the Bowing?

Again, I'm curious to see how your position pivots...
