CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Nope - the boats I am involved with have been moved to Craobh Haven up between Oban and Crinan. Haven't been to Kip since before they started building the flats there - a good few years! About 5 I think! Need to pop down for a nosey!

Living in England now, brought up scottish, love rugby, great stuffing england (well beating em anyway!) this year.
Lived most of my childhood near Dumbarton. We ran a retreat for a while in Overtoun House near Dumbarton.

Has anyone else been watching the new bridge being built over the clyde at Finnieston?

I think it is beautiful, I went down and took these pictures yesterday morning and watched them lift the last piece of the arch into place. Was pretty impressive!

That is if the M74 extension clears planning. I think the M80 extension is almost through, it is certainly at a more advanced stage than the M74 extension.
