CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Anybody go to the Kelvingrove Art Galleries today? I didn't, I'm going to wait a while until it quietens down a wee bit, but I can't wait to go really. Feels like an old friend has come back, and I want to see how she's changed

Had a great time down at the Glasgow River Festival today - went on a wee cruise up and down the Clyde, got to go on a Navy Minehunter and see hubby on his Fire & Rescue boat Anybody else go along?

Finally went to Kelvingrove art galleries today - it is fab SO glad to see that it hasn't been spoilt in any way - still looks beautiful, and the displays really have been revitalised Of course, as soon as I drifted towards any "art" the kids began to revolt , so I will have to go back and see that another time. I did manage to drag them up to see Dali's Crucifixion though, even if I failed to convince them of its artistic importance 
Basically, if you haven't been yet - you need to go! It was still veeeeery busy today though, but still doable

hey i was there today too ! i spent most of my time trying to find partner though as i lost him in the first gallery where all the burrell collection artefacts were

Hi Puppy! Yeah, it's much busier than before it shut, but then it's only just reopened, and it's the height of the tourist season. I'm looking forward to the depths of winter when we can wander round in peace

Kelvingrove was alright There wasnt much of a pattern to follow round the Gallery though. But I enjoyed it none the less
