Some of the strangest things in the garage or shed make spectacular garden decor. I hope you like this one.

I want to contribute something, but the only thing that is blooming of mine right now is my ice plant. If this works, I do hope you can see it. It's really quite pretty and it seems to bloom year round as long as I keep it in full sun. It never freezes or seems subject to cold weather.

You are so right about never throwing anything away. The bucket that my ice plant is in lost it's handles. I found them in the bushes and took them down to my brother's refinishing shop and made awesome towel holders out of them. I'll try to show them on here soon.

Claire, I like the bucket and the Ice Plant. I never heard of an Ice Plant...it sorta looks from here, similar to Primrose or Dianthus. Anything Pink is good for me. The bucket has just the right element which I will call the "Quality of Aging"

Subject: FW: THIS IS A FIRE RAINBOW -

.

This is beautiful.

THIS
IS A FIRE RAINBOW -

THE RAREST OF ALL NATURALLY OCCURRING ATMOSPHERIC PHENOMENA.

THE PICTURE WAS CAPTURED THIS WEEK
ON THE IDAHO/WASHINGTON BORDER.

THE EVENT LASTED ABOUT 1 HOUR.

CLOUDS HAVE TO BE CIRRUS, AT LEAST 20K FEET IN THE AIR,
WITH JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF ICE CRYSTALS
AND THE SUN HAS TO HIT THE CLOUDS AT PRECISELY 58 DEGREES.

God's
handiwork.
Beautiful sight! Pass along for others to see!!

All of a sudden I seem to have a garden full of weeds :help:

I am doing a pretty good job of filling up the compost :) The loganberries are looking promising again this year, as are the strawberries. I think it is a bit to soon to mention anything else as most is under cover of weeds....

Watch this space :D

Hi Ley'

I do so hope that you are NOT composting any weeds Ley
otherwise you will never dispose of them
Weeds, are not exactly the kind of groundcover we need are they ?

I believe our strawberries will make a good cropping this year also
Do you have them trenched Ley' ?
ie: atop the crest of the furrow...?
as this would allow watering to the roots
These enjoy a good drink [and drainage]
to nourish and defend the fruit
