White lilacs in my garden. This picture is too large--how do I control size?

In Arizona the desert was my garden and it was so beautiful. We had a giant Saguaro in our front yard like this one.

Birdfriend, deserts are so beautiful. When my husband moved us to Albuquerque from Pennsylvania, I learned a whole different ecosystem. It was so amazing to watch the changes even a little rain could cause. Here is a picture that reminds me of New Mexico:

Another Dahlia...they come in many types and sizes. I grow the short ones for the tall ones can go over your head. Buchart Gardens has all the varieties.

Dahlia is on my favorite list...very easy to grow where I live.

My Mother's Hydrangea bush still grows in yard she was so careful to keep free of weeds. Passerby's would stop to ask her just what secrets she used to keep the color so bright and the blooms so hardy.

Dear Clairefish, I am amazed that every flower I ever knew is still alive in my heart. I once used to hike in the mountain meadows and look upon each little wild flower so very lucky to know that I was possibly the only living human being ever to pass their way and appreciate their blosoms. I would talk to the little wildflowers and tell them how pretty they were as well as thank God for them.

Small and humble shall I be, that THOU may come and comfort me

My grandmother had this little wrought iron plaque in her garden...what did it say?
..."one is nearer God's heart in a garden, than anywhere else on earth"...something to that effect.
The earth must be God's garden, with a few bothersome weeds here and there.
