Oh I'm dying to see some examples of a rock reproducing or being fed. Please keep it PG13 though, I don't wanna be caught looking at lewd rock sex.

Sorry, no graphic info.
One grain of mineral in a rock split into two grains. That is reproduction.
One grain of mineral became larger in size in the rock, that is growing.

I can't believe you actually believe what you just wrote.

How you managed to get a teaching license in any field is a complete mystery to me.

Rocks form from minerals in some state... not from existing rocks themselves.

If you poor magma over siltstone, you end up with basalt on siltstone, not more siltstone. Likewise if a river delta forms over an ancient volcanic plain you end up with sandstone, siltstone, not a growing supply of basalt.

You analogy just doesn't work.

Your examples of rock are laughable. You are talking about two rocks and they have no relationship to each other.

You do not understand rock.
That is why you do not see rock as a life. Even I told you how, you still don't get it. And, for the worse, you do not know how to ask (explore). You only get the information you asked for.

Then explain the relationship. I work with rock... it doesn't breed, it doesn't grow, it's the remainder of a reaction that has occurred.

Rocks weather and transition... they don't live.

Incidentally, my "laughable" examples of rocks are ones I've been working with lately, so I don't know what that says about your ridiculous attitudes and pronouncements.

This comment of yours is pointless.

We are talking about navigation across oceans and land, not finding your way through a maze. These are very different environments.
Ring ring!

“Hello, goal post moval services, how can I help you?”

“Okay, you want to move ‘not get lost’ to ‘not get lost apart from in mazes’?

“That’ll be £37.99. Please be aware we cannot be held responsible if the moval is noticed and commented on by a third party”.

Click.

It does mean all televised volcanoe eruptions now need an adult rating warning before being shown.

Metamorphic money shot!

In terms of predators, Africa is a far more dangerous environment for humans, than south America. I would expect the expansion of human settlement in Africa, to be very slow.

Human settlement in Africa should extend from the Nile, across the top of Africa. This is what I expect to see in the archaeology of Africa. If you can furnish evidence of human settlements in the middle or even in the south of Africa. Then I will consider that evidence and any possible hypothesis, to explain that evidence.

Humans are an extremely social animals and towns rapidly develop where ever they travel. I just need abundant evidence, not speculative arguments from scant evidence.

We have some evidence from prehistory of human settlement, but that evidence is mainly outside of Africa.

Good job ignoring the point.

Are there hunter/gatherer tribes around the world that "live in the wild" and survive just fine without any 'modern' tech, yes or no?

I am claiming that human navigation is the result of conscious mental thought processes.
No markers and we will always walk in arcs and circles.

But there ARE markers. Stars, the moon, the sun, geography.
Plenty of animals rely on these to navigate. Humans used to also. And in certain circumstances, they still do.

I said, a rock can die (be poisoned).
Any question?
