If you wish, you can check for yourself whether or not they represent widely accepted knowledge - you wouldn't want to take Brightmoon's or my word for it, would you? Isn't faith is better reserved for things that can't be checked?

Of course, you can always claim that any knowledge you would rather not be true is fake, wrong, or a conspiracy, but then it would be your word (some bloke on the internet with a demonstrably poor knowledge of the subject) against verifiable scientific fact... Which version do you think a reasonable person should consider more likely to be factual?

Polyploidy happened in animals but it rare in living species . Rare not nonexistent. I used the plants because people are more familiar with them.

Plants do everything that animals do . They eat ,they drink, they reproduce , they go to sleep at night;plants do respond strongly to being eaten despite some ignorant people thinking that they are just passive green stuff. They can also communicate with others plants of the same species and with insects. Yes I did mean communicate . Plants use pheromones to let other plants know that they have been attacked by bacteria fungi or insects and animals. They can also use pheromones to summon insect predators to get the bugs off .

humans and other animals are distant relatives of plants and green algae. All of the eucaryotes are related; aside from plants and animals(including humans), this includes the unicellular Protista and fungi

I got that impression too from someone who actually told me that T. rex and other carnivores ate plants before the fall. When I finally stopped guffawing I was able to question him further
