What would that prove? If there's not a thread on CF about it, it doesn't count?
So what is the solution? Well, first step involves an accurate assessment of the problem.
"There are middle class and affluent black communities, but they are overshadowed by poorer black communities."
"At its essence, the root cause of problems in poor black communities is simply one of economics. Systematic and institutional racism has led to an environment that is self perpetuating in its economic oppression."
Nobody's saying black people can't be successful; just that it's much harder for them due to different kinds of race-related disadvantages.Perhaps those poor communities should study the middle class and affluent black communities to learn how they overcame this "systemic and institutional racism". Or do they consider them to be 'sellouts' and 'Uncle Toms'?
Each person was shot and killed in September of 2017 in Chicago, a city with the tightest restrictions on guns in the US.
Each person was African American
Not one was shot by a cop
Not onewas helped, mentioned nor mourned by BLM or any other organization that has national attention 'on behalf' of African Americans. They are Just forgotten.

Let's say you have two doors, one marked "black" and one marked "white". The white hole is much larger than the black hole, so more white people can fit through; but fewer black people can fit through because their door is smaller. That's how this all works.
The fact that the "black" door is smaller is a really bad thing for both black people and society (which they happen to also live in). So, as a non-racist, I oppose these things.I agree. But since the Civil Rights Act, and Affirmative Action they seem to have forgotten this fact.
Ok, the last two public protest dealing with it.
Which implies there’s no reason to consider unwarranted killing of Blacks by police a problem.Blacks can complain all they want about police killings, but it pales quickly when black on black homicide numbers are presented.

The number of blacks killed or injured unjustifiably by police is just a footnote compared to the number killed or injured by other blacks.
I care what happens in the black community, but the black community doesn't seem to care what happens in the black community.
Why pick Windsor? Why not some mountain village in the Himalayas? Apples and oranges.
"OldWiseGuy" didn't resort to the "apples and oranges" argument when an earlier post introduced Honduras and Switzerland in an effort to justify a pro NRA position!
The fact that Windsor is within a mile of Detroit, and yet went 27 months without a homicide, would suggest that perhaps there are valuable lessons that could be learned - apparently NRA supporters would have us believe that they already have all the answers!
Somebody has to have the answers. The anti's sure don't.
Windsor is an entirely different community from Detroit. It is vastly different in size, culture, education, income, and demographics. Detroit and Windsor might as well be on different planets.
This is just another attempt to use "American exceptionalism" to support the idea that every problem, and its solution must be totally unique to this country - therefore we have nothing to learn from our neighbors, including those living less than a mile away!
"American exceptionalism" would ignore the invention of the wheel because it occurred in a foreign land which automatically disqualifies it from being adapted to an American setting?

You mean because a river runs between them? I grew up in Detroit. How is Windsor's income, culture and education different? As for size, when you share TV and radio stations, and much of the same workforce, size becomes a moot point.
