  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The (forbidden) yes, no, or sometimes game. (2)

Hmmm, I was actually thinking about using the forbidden words in my answer.:p

Do you let people know that you care by knocking on their front door and running away while leaving a bunch of flowers on the door step with a card in it that says "I care" on it? ;)

I think the whole knocking on the door and running away scenario is kind of childish. I try to be a little more dignified than that if I can. With my luck, I would trip and fall and they would open the door with my posterior up in the air to greet them. But, the rest of it, sounds like a really sweet thing to do for someone.

Have you actually done that to/for someone? (read Nyvvy777's post for what "that" is ;))

Do you wonder if people either don't know, just made a mistake or are intentionally rebellious when they use the forbidden words (Yes, No, Sometimes) to answer the questions on this thread?

sorry...

I have leaned a potted plant on my friends door, rang the doorbell and ran. I did it in the spirit of fun, so I think that counts.

Are you a loving person to everyone, if so have you always been that way?
