Let's do it. Name the time and place.

BTW, he's god, so, what need would he have for patience or pain? Just sayn'.

the existence or non existence of jesus has nothing whatever to do with
yecs and their false and dismissive idea that their ancestors never existed.

there may well have been a jesus... who or what he really was is a question tho.

as for pain and sacrifice, it wasnt the millionth part of what christians have inflicted on people in the name of their god.

if we are gonna balance this all out, maybe we should take the inquisition into account.

Give me a "C"
You don't need the speed of light -- you need the Light.

John 8:12 ¶ Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Here, let me move the ... er ... let me rephrase it: Arminianism -- better?
Nope, not any near to it -- had to read that article in wiki.

Oh, I forgot to tell you that you have only 1 share. I have the rest 99.99%
Is it better now?

I know you were asking AV but I thought I'd answer, too. The longer I am a Christian the MORE I am convinced that this is MORE REAL and vital than anything else.

Considering the reality of your beliefs. I can hardly blame you for feeling this way.

A life as an atheist.

There's nothing "saveworthy" about a life as an atheist. I mean, a life as an atheist is pretty much the same as a life as a theist. So nothing to really be saved from.

From your point of view, though, I could see how you might want to be saved from a death as an atheist. But even then, you're not really being saved from not believing in god, you're being saved from god hisself.

I'm sorry to hear that. There's always hope, even in seemingly hopeless circumstances. Hang in there, you may see the light some day, and it will set you free.
Colossians 1:3 ¶ We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,
5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
6 Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:

I suppose an Atheist could have to be "saved" from pushy theists, but the only way to be saved from them is to become one -- which, when you think about it, is a cure worse than the disease.

Um ... no.

1 Corinthians 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

That sounds like the apprehension of it is far worse than the event. Absolutely nothing to be afraid of NP.

So you guys have put your egos on the line -- if your hopes are false, you guys look like fools.

Your problem, not ours.

Just to help you out, I don't think "save-worthy" is the word you want to use here. That would mean that there is nothing worthy to save about a life as an atheist. Jesus died for atheists so that shows their lives are very worthy to be saved. I see that you did explain what you meant after you said and I get what you meant.

I think what AV meant is that he is happy he is saved and NOT a person who lives life believing there is no God, because he knows the blessing and joy of living a life believing in God and knowing Him. It is GOD that gives us the joy. It is NOT only the joy of having a family, or a great career, or a big screen TV :p, or any other natural joy. All those things are great but God makes them even greater. We don't WANT to be without God. Not because we are afraid or confused but because we ENJOY God!! So can you see that just by the nature of the difference of the two, the life of an atheist cannot be the same as a theist's.
