Wow, now that answer was worthy of a thank you. So thank you.

Of course, how else does one rationalize their cognitive dissonance? Selectively seeking views to support your beliefs keeps the prospect of actually being wrong at bay.

WOW another great statement. Sounds real good!! It is just wrong that's all. Oh I'm sure in some cases this happens but not in the case of knowing God... but then how can you understand ... you've never been there.

That's why they're here. The "higher" materialists coming to the emancipate the "primitive" Christians. Thats what makes this even better.

Right, because "saving" the "heathens" is soooo different....

Not all Christians are as primitive as bible literalists, a fact that seems escape the hard core Genesis* freaks here.

*I am of course referring to Genesis in the bible and not the rock band.

Sticks and stones... come on NP. You are more than that.

But what you're offering isn't -- a brain I'm not allowed to use is more or less the same as no brain at all.

The heart cannot be forced to accept what the mind is forced to reject.

Now I see where your apprehension comes from. You can still use your brain that's why God gave it to you. It is your heart that is keeping you from God. You are afraid you would lose...., exactly what I'm not sure. You won't lose anything NP, on the contrary you will be completed.

The attributes you attribute to the heart are actually only in the brain.

The heart just pumps blood.

I appreciate the sentiment, but you should know that I was already using it long before you gave me permission.

I even used it on the Bible, and while it is a fascinating work of literature, it's not quite as divine as you might think -- although you've had 2,000 years worth of men convincing you it is.

It is your heart that is keeping you from God.

Nope -- It's the Bible.

No... I guess you wouldn't be.

Perhaps I'd prefer to be "completed" without shortcuts?

Not talking about the physical heart. I'm speaking about the spirit.

Actually it's only been 40 years of God convincing me. And it really didn't even take Him that long. If it was left up to men they would have UNconvinced me but thank God He's only deepened my convictions.

Or widened your cognitive dissonance, it's all the same.
