Interesting question.I am very encouraged to find this as well as the new banners today.
I do have a question though on the 5 principles....
How will atheists and non-believing mods be able to abide by those
principles?

They will conform to forum rules but not to Christan beliefs. Thats the whole point of the debate section of FORU.MS. I don't think there is a learning curve involved. To me, They still have to conform to the Christian rules even though we do not have a title of "Christian". One way for them to learn some biblical doctrines.![]()
You are right. Good way to spread the good news too.To me, They still have to conform to the Christian rules even though we do not have a title of "Christian". One way for them to learn some biblical doctrines.![]()

Our Beloved Holy Spirit Of God is magnificent. He is our best of friends. He never interferes in our lives. He sits like our most caring family waiting for us to turn to Him. He loves us so so much that he pains for us when we choose to go it on our own and ignore Him. Yet He is always there patiently waiting to aid us instantly with all of His miraculous power. He waits until we want Him . He waits until we ask Him and invite Him in. He waits and loves us without pause nor time for breath. He waits with patience unimaginable. Then when we turn to Him he enters with the speed of the angels and sooths our very soul. I feel Him so near at this moment as I type this. I love Him. He is all that is good and all that is Divine...That's the role of the Holy Spirit to convice people to believe. Not ours.
I like this. Short, to the point and pretty much covers everything! All Foru.ms Rules will be based on the following Five Christian Principles:
The Two Greatest Commandments - Matthew 22:37-40 (NIV)
Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' (No flaming, no trolling etc)
All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
Three Relevant Commandments from the Ten Commandments - Exodus 20:7,15-16 (NIV)
"You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God. (Respect the name of God and Jesus - no anti-Christ messages or images)
You shall not steal. (No illegal activities promoted, no copyright infringement, no contractual breaches etc)
You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor."
The Five Christian Principles will provide overall guidance to staff and members in developing forum rules and enforcing those rules. Forum rules are developed collaboratively by staff and members and will basically be more detailed interpretations and expansion of the above principles. Forum rules may expand from the above principles and add things not covered by the above principles but the above principles cannot be contradicted. Forum rules should be developed with the above principles in mind with the focus on the vision of this site detailed here: About Us
The above is in our FAQ here:

Please discuss in this thread here - obviously your input is appreciated.
Good way to re-educate Christians too. There are some who perhaps have no empathy for the seekers here and care more about a stupid icon than they do about people.
These principles can be cited. They are based on Scripture. This is a FIRM foundation for this site.

I cant see that you should be a mod and publicly flame people simply because they dont share your liberal standpoint. Many of the so called seekers ( at least those in the debate sections ) are simply here to wage a war on Christ, some would give them a platform and be complicit in their actions. Others turn a blind eye and act like its just intellectual sparring.
At least with the name change this place is free to be up front that it isn't about Christianity as a whole though, just the post modern liberalised version.
