Rain noticed the people...He noticed that they saw him...He was not afraid though...He kept his stride even as he walked further into the forest. The wood completely scortched, nothing remained. He knew that all he had left was destruction. He turned to the boat the slowly floated forth. He still needed to find the girl and the man in black leather...He had to find some answers...

Salis walked out of the water. The battle had been long, and had taken a turn to the more interesting when the Fire showed up. However, it appeared on the other boat...Was that one prisoner truly the keeper of the Fire? Maybe not...Maybe all his attempts, all his dreams of finding the Fire were all about to start over...He had searched for it for five years now, once a captain in an army, he defected and left. The army was soon crushed by an enemy much better than they were. Salis had anticipated it, he had a knack for intuition. Suddenly, out of pure luck, he saw a lone figure striding along in the forest...

delvan waved his hand in the water an invisible force push on the skiff.. soon the skiff was speeding to shore. In minutes he came ashore... as he pulled in to a cove... he saw a corpse of trees burning...rain no doubt. he warily jogged along the shore line. he could hear a roar and mad laughter. soon he saw rain walking into a denser part of the forest... Delvan made his way back towards the boat. Delvan knew following behind the fire and chaos created by rain would be suicide.,so he hope to follow along the shoreline looking for an oportunity to strike.just as delvan reached the skiff,he turned back and saw rain head right towards the boat. "come closer, my friend, come closer to the shore." Delvan whispered.

Kalim shouted a few words and everyone was suddenly busy grabbing whatever they could before jumping off the ship. The wave churned and the ship was heaved forward, a huge shaking shook the whole structure and gradually subsided as the ship came to a stop, with water leaking into it like a fountain.

Salis walked forward more...He looked around himself and saw everyone busy, then he saw the mystical one...Without waiting, he jumped in the air, wind swirling his trenchcoat. From his back he pulled out a small hilt, one with no blade. Shooting forward, he gained on his target. Falling behind him, he put his hand to the hilt, and traced out the long blade. With his tracing came a thin energy blade.

"Rain, you will now die!"

 

[BigEd]

delvan was transfixed by rain's approach, he did notice the man in the black coat until he heard "rain, you will now die." then he saw the stranger with the energy blade. delvan was frustrated everttime he had rain is clutches someone or thing interfered. "i'll just kill them both." he slowly open his fist and concetrated. He closed his fist tightly, then slamed it into the water. A plume started rising up from water in the form a fist racing towards rain and his foe....

 

[Blessed-one]

Talia hid half behind a tree and watched the whole exchange in confusion.

 

[Die Kaiserin]

Rain looked behind him at the words. His mind was confused, he knew that voice! It was the man in leather, the man he needed answers from! He spun quickly to the side as the man cut through the dead trees with his sword. He turned and looked at Rain,
"Are you ready? You have ruined me! Give me the Fire!"

Salis leapt forward again and struck out, he missed, yet again. Rain's body seemed to just fade and then come back in a different location! He swung back and forth, each time missing and cutting nothing but trees. Suddenly he heard it, the water...Salis looked and saw the water rising... "No, and I was just finishing the job for 'you'...Maybe next time..." Salis jumped in the air and spread out his legs and arms, suddenly his body broke into ten streams of light that flew away in an instant...

Rain stared in horror at the water, and suddenly, as it surged forward, his body was overtaken and completely surrounded by light. The water simply passed over him and did not even dampen his clothes.
"What have I done?! Why do you hate me so?!" Rain's confusion turned to anger as an arrow suddenly split through the tree next to him. He turned to see a man with a sword and a bow running towards him. Rain's anger ensued...He felt hatred, he had done nothing...His body lifted in the air and was surrounded by the light once again.
"NOOOO!" The light exploded out, and Rain was gone...

 

[Kookaburra]

My characters run aground on the ship and die amid the confusion as the water overtakes them. The surface bubbles momentarily, then they are gone, drifting to the bottom.

Yeah...So I am gonna move the storyline along....

Salis appeared in front of his master. The one who had taught him the 'way'. He was his father, and his leader. His mentor, and teacher. He was wise and calm, but strong and quick. He was once the wielder of force known only as the Valkaar in his tongue, but Salis had translated it into 'Fire'.
Ever since that moment, Salis had devoted himself to finding this force. He had gone out, become a leader, a general of a great army, his intuition saving his very life. After that, he became a killer, a man whose life was devoted to one thing, finding the Fire of Purification...
After another half-year, he managed to find manuscripts of this force, different ancient pictures of a man covered in fire. It was that year that he had heard of Rain. He had traveled a long time, and chased this man for even longer until he finally had him in his grasp. Unknowingly, he thought that the Fire was tangible, that it was hidden, so he thought to be it out of Rain, but that ruined him. Then that night, he saw that same man become the Fire. Now he knew...
"I must kill him to abtain it." Master looked up, he was in his late forties, and he was still at his prime. He was not overlymuscular, but he was strong. He was trained in the arts of energy transfer, using and manipulating the energy of the Earth.
"Then do it...."

Aryannia awoke with a start. She heard the exchange of voices and heard a deep voice say "Then do it". Aryannia wondered where she was, and as she opened her eyes slowly, she saw that there was two men in front of her. It all came rushing back to her at that moment. She was a prisoner of this brute, this killer, and she desperately wanted to be set free. She looked up with pleading eyes at the man in front of her master. She was truly innocent, a prisoner because of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Just walking along the shore of the peaceful and quiet beach, with the forest behind her and the ocean ahead, she'd been thinking of her future and of the people she loved when she was brutally grabbed, gagged, and taken prisoner. She still had no clue as to what her purpose was there, just that she must try to escape. She was terrified.

She looked for a way out again , her eyes searching the quarters for the thousandth time that week. She'd heard screams, crashing, the sounds of fighting and warfare and then many giant woosh! sounds as she sat there, chained down to a hard wood bench. Her new master had not said a word to her all week, just stood over her and made sure she had enough food and water to survive. She tried to catch the eye of the man who was there with her master, and though he wouldn't look up she kept staring at him. There was no escape, and she knew he was her only hope, this mysterious man who she knew nothing about.

Troyat had been Talking with this girls master for weeks. He had private conversaisions for a long time with him. He had been pleeding with him. After a long talk with him he finnaly made an agreement. He would by this woman for 50 gold peices. He had just payed the man his money. Troyat Stooped down next to Aryannia and told her to get up. He told her that she was free.

Aryannia saw a young man walk into the "office", so to speak. She saw him hand a bag of money over to the master. This was nothing new to her. It had been happening a lot over the past week. Aryannia looked down and settled in to sleep as good as she could when all of a sudden she heard a voice say, "Get up. You are free!". Aryannia jumped at the sound and looked up into the face of the young man. He looked kind, and she felt as if she knew him from somewhere, but could not imagine where. All she knew was that she had been told she was going to be set free!

Aryannia sat up quickly and then said, "Thank you so much. Where are you taking me, and who are you?"

Salis looked around and noticed the shadows move. He saw some shapes, and suddenly saw their outline. He looked with fear at his Master.
"Please! I willl succeed! I swear." His master leaned his head to the side,
"You had better..."

Kaehl walked through the ruined forest. His body now beginning to blend in wiht the black as his body slowly changed pigment. He looked around for the one who had done it, but was now lost. He knew this forest, but all that was left now was death. He hated the man he did not know, and his anger was true.
He continued to search, his body and clothes now completely blended in. He saw and heard nothing. Suddenly, he saw something. It was a bright light in the middle of the death. He walked forward further to see a man in a leather coat seeming manipulating the air around him as if it were water. Green light coursed through his fingers as he dabbed them in the air.
It was unlike anything he had witnessed before. The man's eyes opened and closed as he floated in the air. He then saw Kaehl and pointed his arms at him. The energy of the air flowed around his arms and swirled into a corkscrew. It breathed in and out until it pulsated outward and shot forth from him.

Being knocked back and through five trees an angered Kaehl stood up. He was no longer amused by the man's antics, and now he would kill him. Running up, he strung his bow that lay snug on his shoulder. Pulling free an arrow, he let it fly in the man's direction. The arrow suddenly stopped in the swirling mass of green light around the man's body and fell limp to the ground...Kaehl stared in horror,
"Not good..."

 

[Sher]

Aryannia stood up. She saw a green flash outside. She walked past the man in front of her without giving him a chance to answer, and onto the deck of this ship. The man just appeared to be standing there, when all of a sudden an arrow came soaring and dropped to the ground. She looked intently on the situation. She knew how it would end, and she didn't want to see it.

Aryannia walked back inside the ship to find the man who had rescued her, but he was gone. She looked around hesitantly and then pinched herself to see if it might've been a dream. It was no dream, but where was the man?

Troyat Had ran to the side of the ship. There was one life boat. He new that he would have to head to shore to try to slw the enemy. He started to lower the ship when Rachela jumped in.

Rain walked endlessly in darkness. There were shadows of things that could not be seen. Glimpses of creatures to horrific for light to shine upon. He had lost his way, and did not know where he was. All he saw was darkness...over and over...then, he saw something, it was a door of some sort. It glowed eerily, and it had no handle. He looked at it, and saw a small hole in it. It was a hole in the door, in the shape of a fire. He did not know what it meant...but suddenly he was flown back. Away from the door, through the darkness... All the while hearing one phrase over and over agian...
The door...the door must be unlocked in order to survive.
