We call this anthropomorphism, the attribution of human traits, emotions, or intentions to non-human entities. God does not have a face as we do. The divine countenance is his glory, and his glory is the display of his holiness. For you to truly see his "face" is to expose yourself to the full manifestation of his holiness.
God does in deed have a face.
Genesis 32:30, "So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, “It is because
I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared.”

to see your face is like seeing the face of God, now that you have received me favorably.

Does this put to rest the idea that God doesn't have a face? The whole idea is false and contrary to multiple words of Scripture.
