  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

DifferentFree, are you interested in joining our Elven tongue fellowship here? You seem to be fairly proficient in Quenya. I feel I need to tell you, though, that your verb creation is a little bit off. You need a pronominal ending for your verbs. Since they are both 1st person, they would be "istan" and "tenkanan." I just thought you might like to know. What dictionaries do you use?

I thought since everyone here is interested (to some degree) in Elvish language, that you might like to look at this site (if you haven't already seen it). Elvish in ten minutes. I found it quite good, as I like the writing side of the language as well.
BTW, if anyone wants me to try to translate their name into Sindarin elvish, I will have a good go of it... just let me know!

Hi! Nice to see you here too I don't really have the time to learn Elvish too... Maybe I'll learn some this year during summer holidays, but only if I pass all exams at school.

They are in the eyebrows section. And, oh, they are so nice. My Elven CF character looks wonderful with Elf ears! I had to change the hair style, though, so that the ears actually showed. They're so ... beautiful ...

*Laughs* Basically, we all get together and complain about anything and everything in our lives. Only this one would have an Elven theme to it. It's an idea a friend of mine and I came up with when you're stressed or upset and need to vent.
