  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My faves are either Break on Through, LA Woman or Roadhouse Blues. I like all three about the same. I've got everything that the Doors have ever put out (haha, Lament), up until their live albums. I don't have any of the new complations or boxed sets or anything. I've got the Val Kilmer movie too.

Currently listening to LA Woman.

I Like "The End," "Break on through" "Riders on the Storm" and "Light my Fire."
Frankly, I do not know many Doors songs, and I suspect that those 4 are the ones everyone knows. I love those songs, there is so much talent there, plus I LOVE the organ sound, and I need to get into them.

I met someone at a concert a few months ago who told me that a few years back, her and her boyfriend were in France, at some restaurant, when they met Jim Morrisson. "Only a true fan would recognize what he looked like right now." Jim explained how he'd faked his own death, and then gone into hiding in France. Do I believe this? No. Did I still laugh about it? Yes. :)

October 2nd.;)
I'll make you a deal. If you do end up coming out here, I'll trade you the movie for the book for a while. Hope you have a VCR though...I don't have the DVD, only the VHS version.

Good picks. "Light My Fire" has gotta be one of my favorite songs of all time. Other good ones for me are "The Crystal Ship," "End of the Night," and "People are Strange."
