  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Martin Scorsese remake of the ultra cool Hong Kong film "Infernal Affairs" (無間道) is coming soon!
Stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon, plus Jack Nicholson, Alec Baldwin and Martin Sheen and some other people.
Comes out late 2006 apparently.
I think Scorsese's cramming all of the "Infernal Affairs" trilogy into one movie. Oscars for sure.

The original HK movie was GREAT (a must-see; reading subtitles is worth it if you don't understand Cantonese), but a lot of people think Scorsese, being Scorsese, could make it even better.
It's about a cop infiltrating the mob and a mobster infiltrating the cops, and the race to find out who the other is. It's more of a psychological thriller than a typical cop vs. bad guy film - more about the people involved than the chasing. Excellent film you should rent or buy.

Andy Lau TW and Tony Leung CW starred in the original, but some think Matt and Leo could be better (though I personally don't think so ;)).
