• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

very true and I have nothing to say about others they are free to do as they will. Marriage is between a man and a woman and God, you just need to say vows in front of God you dont really need a license unless you want the state to recognize it as a legal marriage
Marriage is between two who love each other. Period.
Do you have a state issued license?

The state is included if you want it to be recognized for tax purposes as well as other legal issues
So it IS about more than just religion, it's about state benefits too. Just like gays have now. Welcome to the world.

Good one! I'm scared of scared people. They're more often the ones with the guns, and the shaky finger on the trigger.
I'm pretty sure even the rednecks of Alabama don't all carry guns. Some, sure, but to be afraid of people lessens your chances of changing minds. Minds will change first, then the hearts will follow.

Over the years here at CF, I have read many stories of how Christians around the world are being persecuted, murdered, and their churches burned down.

Today it is happening in America to the black community Christians....and from them I hear defense of a heritage and a symbol over the attacks on black Christians.

About time someone had the guts to stand up and say it. The ten commandments should not be removed period
I guess you missed the entire point there, didn't you?

Legislative, Judicial and Executive. The Governor doesn't seem to understand that. I could care less if they want the 10 Commandments or not. I won't go near Oklahoma.

Sad that a governor doesn't even know the three branches of the government (legislative which is congress, executive which is the president, and judicial which is the Supreme Court) and that the people cannot overrule the Supreme Court.
Indeed. I would like to give her the benefit of a doubt. Perhaps she was just confused?

She left out her own branch.

Can I be honest here? I often times wonder why I continue to post here. I can feel sickened and depressed by much of what I read here, and I can also feel elated by many of the responses to what makes me feel badly. This place is my main forums outlet. And because of that when I peruse the headlines and stories I come up with the thought "I just HAVE to share this!" I know I can rile up a bunch of people, and I know I can let some information out to those to who it does some good.

So I continue on, sometimes hot, sometimes cold. Am I alone in feeling this way?

Additionally, Arpaio's office will be banned from retaliating against people who criticize him or his department. He will also have to make sure that inmates who cannot speak English have access to bilingual staff, interpretation services and Spanish-language translations of written policies in jail. All vital announcements must be made in both Spanish and English under the agreement.

Jail employees also will be prohibited from "demeaning inmates or acting disparagingly against any inmate" regardless of their age, nationality, religious beliefs, race, gender, culture, sexual orientation, veteran status, ancestry or disability.
