Unlike Judaism, In Christianity the winning side burns the books of the losing side so there is no way to know if there is any history in the DC.
OH yeah, those wascally Catholics have burned all the histories, just like they secretly took all those books out of the Bible and then killed everybody who knew they'd ever been there and redacted or destroyed every bit of documentary evidence that they'd ever existed.

Right.

Good book, entertaining and enlightening.
Are we talking about the same book? The one that spends almost all it's time with the characters standing around prattling about the details of a fictional history? I could only recommend it as a cure for insomnia.

Yes we are talking about the same book. The book is fiction laced with some historical facts. It was entertaining IMHO. It is not meant to read as an alternative textbook to early Christianity. I find it amazing that people can separate the two. I will say that I found Angels and Demons to be a better book however.

I am glad that all Christians are united in saying that this book is so far out there to make is sad. Meanwhile many uneducated people truely believe in what it is saying and Dan Brown is laughing all the way to the Bank. Hopefull the Holy Blood, Holy Grail people will keep the movie out of the theaters with endless lawsuits.

It is a shame such a nominal book has caught the imagination of so many ill informed regarding the tenets of Christianity which are attacks on our faith as protrayed in this novel.

It is a shame that a novel has become in the eyes of the irreligious public a platform to question the reliability of the only standard of truth, the Bible.

It goes to show how hungry the public is to believe lies and if they believe lies, how will they then believe truth?

I am currently reading it. I was not going to bother, but my home church is doing a series on trusting the Bible. It is to prove that the Bible can be trusted compared to the gnostic gospels and fiction like the Da Vinci Code. They mentioned that the Da Vinci Code would be addressed, so I decided to read it before my small home group had discussions about it. I cannot discuss something I have not read.

So far, I am unimpressed. It is OK. But, I do not find a need to read it straight through and not put it down. I actually forget about it. It may take a while to get through at this rate.

I think we all should be given more thought into this. I mean just by sating its wrong will not convince alot of people who read the book and watch the upcoming movie. I think alot of people are going to be led astray because of this trash and we need to inform others of the truth. For more information go get the bookBreaking the Da Vinci code by Dr. Darrell Bock which will explain in detail where thruth and fiction meet and how to expose the lies.

I enjoyed it. I don't like that certain people can't seem to get that its fiction. Even some stuff on the fact sheet. Just head on over to wikipedia and see for yourself. I also dislike that certain people want a disclaimer before a fictional movie.

I don't see how reading it is so horrible. If you have strong enough faith, it will just be what it is. A fiction novel.
