  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hey... you still wearing the sling?
Yes and no. About 50% of the time. Doc wanted me to do pendulum exercises three times a day, 5 minutes each time to get it loosened up. I start rehab tomorrow...

I'm back at work right now...I can type pretty good, but moving a mouse is hard, so I've been working half days this week.

Doc said, don't move past 0 degrees (which I can't even get there anyway), and no heavy lifting. If you lift anything heavy, you risk tearing the souchers (sp) right off the anchors. (They drilled anchors into my bone, then souchered the ligaments to them or something like that...)

congrats! :)

I got the triple treatment, baptism, confirmation and first communion at the Easter Vigil last year. I was the only person being baptized so a big night for me. I was a bit nervous about the public display, but was great. :D

Sure you'll be grinning ear to ear for the next week. :)

WHOO RA!
Awesome...are you getting excited, nervous, all of the above? I'll say a prayer for you:prayer:

I'm glad you're starting to move the arm again -- I was just thinking about your arm...pretty ironic that I came across the thread where you answered the q. before I asked it.

I will be confirmed into the Church on February 1st...

Praise God!
God bless you!

Hey, how's this for coincidence--I was made a catechumen last year on Super Bowl Sunday. And baptized last Pascha... which is when you originally wanted to be confirmed... ^_^

There are no coincedences...we are bound as a body of believers...:)

Two days to go...I'm off to adoration and benediction.

Indeed.

It's such a relief once you've gone through this, trust me. Not only are you bound to the Body of Christ in a very visible way, it gives you a new identity as a Christian. And the nagging uncertainty that led you to seek out your new faith in the first place is gone... gone forever.

I hear ya Matrona...

18½ hours to go!

I'm off to partake in the Sacrament of Penance here at 4:30, then we have our Bishop who will be presiding over our Mass at 5:00 and dedicating our new education center...

Then home to metally get ready some more, then off to bed...

Then I'll be up at 8...and Church by 9...

Ahhhh...can't wait... I am SO excited!! ^_^
