I'm curious. Does anyone here enjoy The Dashboard Confessional? I'm quite a fan myself and I'd like to know what others think of them.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What about Chris' former band "Further Seems Forever?" I've heard a bit of their work. They sound a lot like dashboard, but with more spiritual lyrics and electric guitars.

Ive heared alot about them. Really good things. Ive only really heared one song byt hem and I cant remember teh name, but I didnt really enjoy them

there's an interesting review on bluephi115's website, about chris.
anyways, who cares what kind of music he makes. whether people whine, or write love songs...it's good. besides, his "whining" reaches out to a lot of people. not me personally, but i think it's good that he writes what he does.

I only really enjoy the first album...Swiss Army Romance, when it was just Chris and an acoustic. Now that they've added the rest of the band, I don't enjoy it quite as much.
