That doesn't explain the line "one day they will follow you into the sun".

What Superman? I just saying in general in where that Superman gets his powers from the sun because it's how we get one vitium and how plants live. You have to see the movie to see the connect. Trailers own show you a part of the movie. Superman grew up in a christian home and he is christian,so it wouldn't make sense but than again we don't see it in movies

That line I mentioned is in the trailer at this link:

MAN OF STEEL - Movie Trailer, Photos, Synopsis

It is Superman's father (real father) speaking to him. Listen to the voice from 1:37 to 1:55. I misquoted slightly in my previous post. It is actually "in time, they will join you in the sun".

Just from that one quote how do we know he is talking about the sun god? I don't even thought but in time they will join you in your strength that how I look at it that in turn people will be his strength. We simple don't know but Superman is Christian and beliefs in one god god. The quote is so unclear and This people who made super who were Jewish also must have prayed to see if it was right with God. This quote is so unclear. DO you really think this will cause people to worship the sun? It's so unclean. There enough to worry. Pray to God and see what God thinks. For on sentence can't being people to think sun worshiping SO is why I stopping going to movies people always thinking there some hidden messages. There are movies with no messages and people good crazy. Don't see the movie than

There is only one hint of sun worshiping in comics but since Dc rebooted their comics this is no way they can be talking about Sun worshiping

We can't know for sure unless we talk to the writer and he is 100% honest about the question. Even then we can't be sure he's being honest.

Although there is more than just that one quote. In this movie Superman is also referred to as "a god", a "guardian angel" and as "hope". Also just before that one quote about the sun, he walks through a round door with bright sunlight behind him, as though he is actually in the sun.

Sure it could be interpreted several different ways, or not interpreted at all, but whatever the author intended we have to be aware that many movies do carry a hidden message. Like Batman: the Dark Knight Rises, for example.

Yet there are many movies with no hidden messages and many people claim there are. I don't thing he might has in a religious stand point but has this powerful than them yet even if the author wasn't being honest or honest you will still look for messages and many will not be there. Many Christians search for signs that aren't there for you would already know. There isn't hidden messages but if you just going by some traliar that doesn't because many trailers shows will that you saw don't appear in the movie. Sometimes they make there own tr

For as long as I can remember people have always accused movies of having hidden messages. Look at Disney. So many claim sex was in each movie. Such as the famous Lion King scene where the leaves are blowing and someone took a screenshot showing the word sex made out of the leaves. Yet if you watch that scene in slomo there is no word sex.

Most claims are made up by atheists to rile up christians and make us look paranoid. Does this mean movies don't have hidden messages? Of course not. Some do. I know I love the movie Wallie but alot of people claim its teaching subliminal messages about a ton of massive political issues. Which no 8 year old would even understand nor figure out anyways.

The thing with hidden messages is that eight year olds, though they don't understand them or even recognize them, they do receive them. Their thoughts and opinions are shaped by movies like Wallie whether they realize it or not.

Actually it would be more historical accuracy than demonic brainwashing. Back at the time man discovered fire, the human being wasn't as smart (consumption of cooked meat made the brain get bigger and therefore we became more intelligent). Worship of the sun was common place because no one was able to explain or comprehend what the sun was. Basically ANYTHING that happened that we couldn't explain, we worshipped (ie lightning, fire, moon etc)

The first post was for the initial post on the thread. This post is on the discussion being had. First, Superman was never depicted as a christian. He grew up in a Kansas farm house, so it is likely he had a more traditional upbringing, but he was never explicitly depicted as a christian. However, that doesnt mean the story of Superman is delivering anti-christian subliminal messages. For a character to be a relatable hero to its readers, the idea of Superman needs to be universal and relatable to by all. also, you really cannot judge a movie by the trailer. You could wind up doing something crazy like taking something out of context and pooping on it without any substantial information.

On the parenting issue. Don't worry about what kids get exposed to. As a parent it is YOUR JOB to parent them and teach them right from wrong and how to handle everyday life Don't hide them from the world because you are only offering temporary protection. When you are not there to shield and protect, they will have no clue what to do. You give a man fish and he eats for a day, you teach a man to fish...etc

Well after watching The Croods and looking into it I have definitely been feeling some subliminal messaging going on with this movie and others specifically about leaving old world for new and following the light. But you did know the story of Jesus the son "sun" of God is symbolic of sun worship that has been practiced in pagan religions that pre date the christian religion. The light is not what you think, the light is what tricks you into believing this material false realm. For some reason we have all been programed to see this light/dark good/evil black/white world. I believe the problem is the contrast is all a big distraction. The only thing real is your soul trust it seek out for your own truth. The christians call it the holy spirit I call it my conscience. Beware of anything put out by Hollywood that should be well known I mean come on now people don't let your innocent children fall prey to programming by the evil who think they can control your reality. As far as the mason who is posting on here it is obvious to me why he would not want these secrets to be known masons are all about hiding the truth and keeping the sheeple lost.

I would challenge all you paranoids to name me one movie that does NOT have some sort of secret message.

Seriously, if you look hard enough, you can find whatever it is you want to find.

I'm a freelance writer and write both fiction and non fiction. When you write a story, your not trying to subvert your audience by feeding them secret messages. No. You are just trying to give them a good story. 99.9% of the time, a duck is just a duck

Lastly, I would like to point out that so-called secret and subliminal messages (if they do exist) aren't going to undo your conditioning and beliefs or make you suddenly want to take an action against your will.

IN case you missed the subliminal messages I put in my post, highlight this entire thread and notice the slightly bolded words eat an orange

so did my subliminal and secret messages suddenly compel you to do something???

I just saw the movie "The Croods" with my daughter yesterday. It's an animated movie about cave men who haven't yet discovered fire.

Along comes "guy" in the middle of the night carrying a torch of fire (light). This guy introduces the cave people to all kinds of knowledge and encourages them to "ride the sun" and "follow the light".

He specifically tempted the daughter of the cave family, whose name is "Eep" (although I'm certain they called her "Eve" at least a couple of times) to follow him. He enticed her with fire and knowledge, to ignore her father's orders to "stay in the cave".

The entire movie is about sun worship. Knowing what I know, as a Christian and one who has researched ancient religions and freemasonry, it was so obvious to me but it sends a very dangerous message to young minds trying to find their own way, without the benefit of a solid relationship with God.

Not to mention Nicolas Cage is the voice for the father of the family, and with his track record of films I can't help but wonder if he is secretly a Mason.

Am I being paranoid, or did anybody else see this movie and get this message?

OH, my---the first few sentences of this, I thought 2 things--first--the light was Jesus--then I thought--oh, this is like Satan, as the snake, was introducing the "light" of sin and disobedience to Eve. Didn't even think of sun worship till you mentioned it. Haven't seen this movie. Now, I kind of want to see it for myself.

That's a valid point, but sometimes the message is far too obvious and, in this case, far too similar to the devil tempting Eve, to be ignored.

The movie literally encouraged kids to ignore their fathers and give in to temptation. And secondly, the words "follow me into the sun" were used far too often to be meaningless. Whoever wrote this movie did not inadvertently include some subliminal messaging. This was purposeful. If you haven't seen it, I encourage you to.
