The present (Climate change) hysteria and actions being taken is nothing more than a redistribution of wealth from the rich to the poor, just as Al Gore stated in his "Global Marshall Plan", this is the very foundation of communism
Shouldn’t the wealthy, who by definition have more than they need, have the burden of helping those with not enough? That is not communism, that compassion and basic human decency.

That was a rhetorical "you"; I could have just as easily phrased it as "If the temperature of the ocean is increased..." The who and how is irrelevant to the purpose of my post, which was to demonstrate the relationship between climate and environment.
ok ok, I was wondering also.
So then maybe we would simply have to agree to disagree about whether there is such a strong link between climate and environment.

This is really basic science. Like, elementary school level. You've learned about the water cycle, right?

Mark 10:21

21 Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”

Perhaps we need the communist dictators in China, Russia, Cuba, Venezuela, to read the verse, then they could sell their mansions, private jets, and empty their bank accounts, and give it to the poor?

When are those that support the redistribution of wealth "Communism" going to sell everything they have and move to Bangaladesh and live on $500 a year without running water, toilets, or electricity?

It's About Time?

I don't think you understand what is meant by a fair and equitable redistribution of wealth. It certainly doesn't mean moving overseas. And you definitely don't understand the concept of communism.

And hey, you have running water? I don't think there's any need to boast about it. If the creek don' run dry I got it too. S'little muddy but that ain't no mind mostly.

And the annual income in Bangladesh is $3k. The things I learn in these threads...

My research finds "daily labor agriculture" in Bangladesh makes 288BDT a day, that's US $2.63 daily, and in most cases a 10hr day, in a 5 day work week thats US $683 annually

You think you can make it on US $57 a month, working 10hr days for US 26.3 cents an hour?

Are you ready for the redistribution of your wealth to the "poor in Bangaladesh", no running water, toilet, or electricity, 10 hr workdays for $57 a month?

It's About Time?

If the world’s billionaires redistributed their wealth to Bangladesh, I think those impoverished would be better off than your description. The billionaires wouldn’t even have to disrupt their standard of living to accomplish that.

If everybody that owned a home in America and had retirement and a modest bank account gave it all away to the poor in the world, we could end poverty everywhere, in India, Africa, Bangladesh, Guatemala, El Salvador, you name it!

"Redistribute Your Wealth" When are you going to give everything away that you worked your life for and give it to the world's poor?

You spend all that time finding out about agricultural rates of pay in Bangladesh and none checking what people mean by an equitable distribution of wealth? Ah well.

Good to know that you are an active supporter of the distribution of wealth. But I'd keep quiet about it If I were you. Your friends might think you're a communist. Well, the ones who skipped social sciences the day they did political theory will.

EDIT TO AX UNAVAILABLE POST
It’s not a zero-sum game, though.
It’s not like if I give up my air-conditioning suddenly a Bangladeshi gets a new motor scooter, either.

Money that goes to the very bottom of the economy doesn’t dissipate but bubbles up through the system to keep generating ever increasing dividends. The WIDER* the “bottom” getting the money…the more the bubbling-up can generate “profits”.

It’s odd how conservatives seem to have stopped being able to do simple economics.

If money doesn’t help all human beings of Earth, then what’s the sense of allowing it to “exist”?

*this is AMWAY’s whole schtick

A clean up was done. A number of posts were getting too personal and goading toward others. Keep it on the topic and not each other. Also, please note that words like "commie" are on the list - see this.
