There was, at one point, a great Empire of man. But that memory was lost, long ago...

For over a millenium, there has been constant toil between the races. The dwarves fight for their very existance, having their king disapear with over half of the army. The elves try to gain a power over the men, who were once a mighty empire and are winning their campaign. The wyren riders, scattered into tribes, fight for the skys with the pegasus riders. And the dragons have caused constant turmoil with their riders and their unknown leader. This will go on forever untill some one makes peace with the other, which is a very unlikely chance.
A Wyren Rider named Picallo fends for himself, ripped from his family and friends for an unknown reason, hireing himself out as a merchinary.

Ok, the rules.

No swearing
No offencive behavior towards other people, AT ALL
No sexual coments
No abuse
No gore, though fighting is a main part of the game
Romance, but keep it clean
And absulutely, posatively, NO FUN (lol, Jk)

Of age:

Elves mature slower then humans. If someone is 2000 years old, then they are about 20 years of age. They also never look more then 35. Of the Wyren Riders and Pegasus Knights, who grow at the same speed, its about the same for the human life cycle exvept by age 20 they look the same for the rest of their lives. Dwarfs mature around the same time their beards grow about 2 feet long, which is at about the age of 20. Dwarves don't shave their beards untell they grow to about the ground when they are standing, and then they only cut about a foot off. Humans grow the same rate as we REAL humans do. No one has ever reall been able to tell how old a dragon is or how long it takes to mature, but their riders, or Dragon Lords, are about the same as the Wyren Riders, who are closely related to them, though Wyren aren't as evil or twisted as most of the Dragon Lords or their steeds are.

And a background check on all the races:

Pegasus Knights (long needed)

Pegasus Knights are of one of the most ancient races in the unnamed lands. Thousands of years ago, when their race began, they were elves, but they believed that Pegasus were that of the gods, and so, their occult captured and trained the pegasus. They live in very temperate lands, and they are rich in wine, oils, olives, and fruits. Their architecture is mostly that of white and green, and their temples, tombs, homes, and even marketplaces are full of vines and green and white marbles.
Their culture itself is... mixed at that. They are actually three kingdoms who have allied themselves with each other. One is a monarchy, where their king is at the top of both political and religious stand points. He runs the government as he sees fit, but he always has the religious powers to back him up: priests, bishops, and such. Because of this, the people are always ready to stand by him, even when he is an evil dictator and tyrant. The only real logical people are the knights of the court, who can see through his smoke screen, but they could never defeat him anyways, with the people at his side.
The next kingdom is a True Dimocracy. This government looks to the people on every disiciton ever made. Ideas are brought by the people to the people in open courts and sessions, as well as their constant feasts, and are voted upon by numbers there. Their knights are trained by their fathers or relatives, and so tradition is upheld higher then any other culture. And war leaders are often judged or set in place by either the wisest or most experienced, or someone who has shown explisit valour or stradigy on the battle field.
Finally, there is a Republic. This government is run by a council and a chancellor. The council is of a ratio of it's members, and they make all the disitions. The Chancellor has the power to veto a law or amendment, but only with the aproval of his advisors and at least 1/3 of the council, or 2/5 of the people. This shifts most of the power to the Chancellor, but generals keep a close watch on the Chancellor's political movements in order to keep him under controll.
If the Pegasus Knights win this war, it spells constant war for the time that this empire stands, as it would divide and fight itself, with it's new found power, and it may spell the end for many of the races.
Knights themselves, however, are not very high on the political ranks in any of these cultures, save the generals. They are numerous. But they are also known for their born sence of stradigy and combat. Some of the most key battles have been won because they were thought out by Pegasus Knights or stradigists trained by these sky riders. They normally carry short bows and blades, and are very agile and strong. They are tall, from their elven ansestry, but they are different at the same time, as they have changed over the generations.
(More information on their religion, culture, and politics will be presented in the RPG)

Wood Elves
[Then] White Elves

Elves are an almost forgotten race, even at the time of this tale. They are still a force to be reconned with, true, but they hold no cities known to the outside world, and their armies are scattered across the map, all just large enough to hold their own in enemy teritory. Their race is few, and they are ready to be destroyed if attacked in key places, or at least, that is what all the other peoples of the world think. But they have their secrets. And as fait would have it, the Wood Elves are the most secretive of them all.
As I said, they are an almost forgotten race. Their orgins are unknown. Their history is squandered and twisted to only stories grandfathers tell grandchildren before the harth, or kept in the minds of the most ancient of their race, and their religion is, though at one time public knowladge, largely unknown. What is known is that they have one God, Abba they call him, whom is their master.
The Wood Elves are masters of the forest, great fletchers and scouts, and a band of 100 of their kind can hold up against 10,000 Wyren Riders and Dwarven Comandos, though the later is scarce in the world today. They live in great tree houses, and their cloths are made of leaves and the furs of the great beasts that house themselves in the same forests. Not since the fall of the Human Empire has even a village, let alone a fortress or barrack, been found of these beings, and some now wonder if they even have one that survives. Their culture is a mystery, and their government is unknown. However, the race of Wyren Riders is said to have come from their race of elves, though that is debatable, because of the similar characteristics Wyren Riders have to White Elves as well.
White Elves, I may tell you (though you probably already have guessed) are just as mysterious. All that is known is still very little. They make cloths of fine linen and white furs from tigers. They live around mountains, though very few live inside. They are master smiths, making spears and sheilds and blades of great prowess. They prefer halberds and falcons to short swords and bows, but when they make blades, they will never rust nor falter. They, too, have no known settlements, but they must have a great cache or smithy somewhere, as they are constantly making armor. These elves us a phalanx battle formation (it shall be seen in the RPG later on)

Wyren Riders

This is a race of great warriors, all of whom have faced battle at one point or another. This force is one that causes the most trouble for the other sides, and they are constantly in some form of combat with opposing sides, more often even then the Pegasus Knights, who have their own feuds within their alliance. Like their fellow Sky Riders, as they all seem to be labled, they fight among their four seperate factions, each with it's own strengths and weeknesses. As far as we know, they are religionless, or at least, no inherited cult.
The first faction is that of magic, the Ruby Tribe, These fortune tellers lead their members through seeing into the future events, and by seeing what is to happen, they do whatever they can to avoid desasters and solve problems. But fortune telling is a delicite ability, and even the wisest and most skilled have trouble reading such things most of the time. Other then that, every member is born with a deeper sence of magic. Even the most inexperienced or youngest can remove scars and heal sprains and warts. But their soul power is in the future, and they rely on the trust of the people for them to govern them. They are led by the most powerful in magic, as is told at the child's birth, which is said to, for a short period, reflect what their power later on shall be like.
The second is that of battle and stradigy. This faction, called the Saphire Tribe, is renowned for it's great generals. Other than this, they have little power, but they can win a war if needed. Many of those in royalty and of power, only fight for their own gain, with no true virtue. They are lead by the one who has the most military power. And their leaders answer to no one.
The third, Emerald Tribe, is one of money and philosophy. Their great minds normally have great funds as well, which effects their thinking, for better or for worse. They have no central government, yet they normally give controll to the one with the most gold and popular ideas.
Finally, the Dimond Tribe, is ruled by a council of the wise. Many of their council members are stubborn old people (who should be well left alone, and no one dare get on their loan) who have their own ideas about life. At the same time, they normally get into arguments with each other and start their own fueds with those who are loyal to them. The are elected into office, but influence runs mostly with the older then the younger generation.
Of the Wyrens themselves, not much is known. It is said that they are the close cousins of dragons, but they are different at the same time. Their language is that of growls, not telepathic, and they are more like real people then the twisted minds, or the noble creatures, of dragons themselves.
If this force provails in war, then there is a slim chance that the government will mesh together, but not likely.

Men

Men are divided and united, as they always will be. Nations are different and seperated, theit customs change, and their civilizations all thirst for power. They ally themselves with each other and make enemies with each other as well. They have no soul beliefs, nor government, but only fragile alliances. They fight amongst themselves. And many of the most powerfull nations have fallen to them.

Dwarves

Dwarves are some of the most ancient and powerfull races in the world. They are one of the few races that do not fued among themselves in such a desprate time, and they take pride in it. But since the disapearence of their king into the unknown regions, one push, and they can be thrown into a fued that will rock the foundations of the earth itself. Clans are at peace, but every day there are long debates about the new king, and it seems that the line will never be found. They have nine clans, three of which have been destroyed. They are a secretive race, and next to nothing is known about them other then that. It shall be key to have them if peace is to come. Key.

Dragons and Their Riders

Nothing is known about the Dragon Riders, nor their steeds. All that is thought of them is that they are evil, and always have been, and always will be, and will never turn from that. They hold powers, and they have lost much too. They are key in the war. If they survive, then they will rule. If they are defeated, they will perish. Maybe.

ON MAGIC

Magic in this game is scarcely used, as not much is known about it's mysterys itself. Of old, everyone and their dog knew every spell, so no one had the upper hand in it. Now, whoever knows even how to heal cuts has the greatest power. It takes no power unless used constantly, but fatigue strikes hardest. But as long as you can stay awake, then there isn't much that can stop you. But all aireal beasts and their riders are somehow almost completely immune to attacks of magic.

i'm in but update the backgrounds on the rest of the races... please. That'd be nice. I'm looking at either Elf or Pegasus but I'm not sure. If there's a Good affiliated Dragon Race then I'll take that...

Dragons. Ya. I forgot about them. I'll get on it. But, no, sorry dude. Dragons are strictly evil. (Like my science teacher... don't tell her I said that! Lol)

Actually, I take that back. In the character's list, there is one Dragon Rider that is good... he's kind of a rebel from the others. Can take him if youw want. And you can design him as well. Those are just guild lines.

I have an old dragon character I do not get to use much. Very evil, very suave, but he may clash with the background a bit. His name is Valikonth Lucifus, but he usually goes around disguised as a human under the alias of Drake. He doesn't use much magic, except to transform into Drake and to use his mindspeech abilities to speak to his accomplices or mask his mental voice as someone else's and speak into their mind, making it sound like their own thoughts to them. Would he be acceptable?
