I have a saying I use "I'd rather hear the ugly truth to a pretty lie". Seems to me Balak wanted to hear a pretty lie - The devil tells pretty lies, what we want to hear. The Lord tells the sometimes ugly truth but it's always the truth.
I wonder if Balak will wise up?!
