Zephaniah 3:

THIS verse is a glimpse right into the very HEART of God.

Delightful.

Precious.

Now we move on to the book of Haggai. It has only two chapters.

Haggai 1:

God speaks to this precious man of God, the Prophet Haggai, and he speaks to the people to re-build the Temple and to consider their ways.

And the people heed him and obey what the Lord admonishes them to do, through Haggai.

Precious.

Haggai 2:

A promise of blessings from God.

Precious.

Now we move on to the book of Zechariah. It has 14 chapters.

(I'm a bit more familiar with this book.)

Zechariah 1:

"I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white." ~Zechariah 1:8

Zechariah 2:

"For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye." ~Zechariah 2:8

Zechariah 3:

"And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment." ~Zechariah 3:4

Precious.

Zechariah 5:

"Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll. And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits. Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off ason this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it." ~Zechariah 5:1-3

"And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass." ~Zechariah 6:1

A glimpse into the very heart of God.

Zechariah 9:

A precious and glorious promise of what is to come.

(The prediction of Jesus Christ the King of Kings)

Praise God!!!!

Whoa! God's wrath is kindled.

'Tis best to heed what God says from the gitgo....

makes ya' wonder "what WERE they thinkin'?"

Now we move on to the book of Malachi, the last book of the Old Testament. It has 4 chapters.

Malachi 1:

It's despicable how God was not only treated, but what thoughts were harbored in their hearts towards God. They did not know that God can SEE right into the heart? They forgot?

What is striking here is the utter lack of "fear" of the living God.

Tragic.

Malachi 2:

Well they done did it now.

How utterly foolish to test God in this manner and make it crystal clear how they despised and hated Him.

Despicable.

"And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it. And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the LORD of hosts. My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name. The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity." ~Malachi 2:1-6
