When you guys post your encounters with God here (as Calledoutone does in coffee klatch at times) it inspires me. Probably others too.
Yes, I'll have what she is having too.
Maybe we should share these things with unbelievers, and they will want also!

Well, I had an experience today...I just sat here watching some videos via youtube. Look up Jason Upton and Ray Boltz...I sat here and just wept.
Works for me.

I had been sort of spiritually wrung out by the 4U wars here and not reading scriptures regularly and praying only sort of emergency prayers - like, Oh Lord NO!. And I got refocused the other weekend and wept for a couple of days. Nice to know that when our hearts get a bit stiff, He is faithful to draw us back into his loving arms. :)

i have had to post to say this is wonderful to be sharing about our Lord and God who is faithful and draws us to Himself, as ContentInHim as beautifully described.

Be encouraged, tears are good at times because they are healing and i believe God is wanting us to personally know Him as Father so that He can minister His Love and Wholeness to our hurting and wounded hearts

One of the reasons I don't just leap out with sharing stuff that God has done w/ me like the one I shared (and I left out alot of details on purpose), is for a few reasons --
since I was raised Baptist, for me to bring up more 'out of the ordinary' experiences with any vision He mite send you is way out there and I worry about people thinking I'm either nutty nuts or lying LOL.

Also, I think it can sound like bragging in a way. I'd hate for someone to think that about my motive. So when it fits in a situation, and I feel led to share it, I will.

That's kinda just the way I am about stuff like that. & I really don't have so many to share either =)~ It's not like profound things keep happening all the time. They're pretty rare.
 :)

Oh my mom is an avid Ray Boltz fan. At Christmas she's sent his CD's for stocking stuffers.

God bless you guys =)

Apologies for invading your thread again.
I read this last night, and what Nadiine and TCOO were saying made me think that you may appreciate it too...

"I cannot begin to tell you how gut-wrenching conflict resolution and truth -telling in human relationships are for me, but I have found them even more daunting tasks to persue with God. There are questions reverberating through my mind I do not want to speak; feelings I do not want to own; doubts I do not want to surface - particularly as I know that they reveal far more about me than Him.
Yet only when my struggle is embraced can I journey towards that which I long for: intimacy with God.
And that is the one journey that is worth everything."

God bless you all.
