Don't take it personally Lisa. I don't think they were pointing fingers at any one person. I think people are just afraid that it will go back to the fighting etc. that was going on before.

I am sure you can agree that no one was happy with the way it was right before the probation. Alot of people, you included, were hurt and sometimes it takes awhile to get over that.

CCC just needs to find a balance. I am hoping that we can iron out some of the problems during the discussion on the guidelines. We all need to work together if we want CCC to be a place we enjoy coming to.

Yeah, sure. I think I prefer it here.

One thing some are failing to admit Rmw is, THEY WERE THE VERY ONES DOING THE FIGHTING!

Now they snub their noses at people here & who left for being "military"??? lol I read that thread & one of the people making the loudest statement was right up on the front lines doing alot of the criticizing of staff & being silenced!!
:swoon: :help:

The issue was a split w/ different conservatives - that changed the section - now they want to sit in what remains of the area attacking those who left.
Please.

Luckily, I don't care about it and if that's what I"m seeing after we left, I'm glad I AM out of there! No thanks, it's mutual - I don't want to be there as much as they wouldn't want me to be there.

It only makes me sick that I bothered fighting to save that forum in the first place. Talk about a complete waste of time & energy.
Live & learn. life goes on & I refuse to waste more of my time dwelling on it.

Sorry they gave you such a hard time, Lisa. :(

Thank you. No one really gave me a hard time. They were just honest.

I think that those who have come here have grown so much Spiritually. We have taken responsibility for the things we did wrong in CCC and we have learned from it. However, I don't think that the others have taken responsibility. They still have a "They" and "Us" attitude, only we are the "They" now.

I am surprised by it, but then, I always am surprised when people completely change. I have reps from these very same people egging me on, congratulating me, wanting an invitation to this club.

It is truly weird.

good thing they're preaching about how the section can show "God's LOVE" again now that us militants are gone!
rofl

anyone for hypocrisy pie?? LOL "THANK GOD THEY'RE GONE, NOW LETS SHOW PEOPLE THE REAL LOVE OF GOD & GET BACK TO HOW THIS SECTION SHOULD BE RUN".

hehehe ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ :p

Will people EVER get what God's love means? The statements given & attitudes shown speak alot louder than those touting words of love.
Same problem, new day. People love to throw around claims, yet can never seem to LIVE IT when it comes to people they disagree with. & esp. when they're towards fellow brothers & sisters.

Well, whatever. it's why this site will continue to flounder until people LIVE what they preach.

I agree Nadiine. It takes 2 to fight and all of us in CC made mistakes.

I hope that with time that all of the wounds will heal and all of us can come together as brothers & sisters in Christ. (I know I am being idealistic again). I love you guys too you know and I hate seeing you hurt.

But 'some' were pointing the fingers at US for being that "us vs them" -- that's the irony here.
:swoon: :help:

oh well. yes they were honest and so am I. :holy:

The "us/them" thing is weird to look at. Not all of us were in the "loud" crusader group (Time/Nadiine/NG etc), in fact I was kinda against some of the ways the crusading was being done and something of a critic~yet I'm here in the catacombs instead of in a real house. And it was admin that did it~the heavy handed way they decided to crush their opposition seems to have sided me with the exiles...

Well, whatever, I don't want to start all of that up again. I needed a moment to digest what just happened, but lets move on quickly.

So...let's talk about something.

Can someone describe to me the facets of God? For example, some believe that God is ALL love, and when Scripture speaks of justice, they see that as a possible universal reconciliation. They see Conservative depiction of God as cruel. I say that love can seem cruel.

It is like when we say, "Love the Sinner, Hate the sin" and that has become a very negative statement.

So, is God cruel sometimes?

rmw, you of all people I hold respect for after you pm'd me after a certain incident. You were the ONLY one that did so and I will always hold a high respect for you here just for that becuz it was the right thing to do - and namely when I didn't even know you!!!

THAT is showing God's love imho.
Yes I hope alot of us learned from our mistakes - unfortunatly some don't seem to even recognize they've made any apparently! :help: :swoon: (can't learn from what you refuse to recognize about your wrongdoings).

I just think it's sad to see the reception she got from people touting God's love as if others held the goodness back from there; shifting blame onto others - holding things against bro's & sisters so they can now show God's love to the world.

*heavy sigh*

Grabbing one facet is a mistake easily and commonly made~mea culpa~yet one facet of God that cannot be overdone (imo) is His holiness. From His Holiness flows all other actions~characteristics.

Remember the seraphim surrounding God's throne in Isaiah 6? It wasn't "love, love, love" or "justice, justice, justice" or "tolerance, tolerance, tolerance" they were saying:

Isaiah 6:3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

AGAIN REPEATED in the Revelation of St. John

Rev 4:8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

As I see God's facets, I call them attributes. And since God is called our "Father" (Abba Father), then we can look at the lifelike examples God gives us to reveal Himself and His love towards us.

Look at parents, they love & provide for their children yet they give rebuke and discipline as well. And since God is both pure love and pure justice, those aspects have to work in complete unity together and be in full agreement.

I also think that God's ultimate goal is different than ours in humanity - our goal seems to be more of "being happy" and comfortable & secure down here (by nature) when God's goal is either saving us, or purifying & refining us. (as author & finisher of faith).
So what we see as "cruel" methods of getting our attn (becuz it dissrupts our physical happiness & comfort)., God does not see them as mean but a means of shaping us.
His ways & knowledge are much higher than ours & we either have trust that about Him or we don't.

that's how I view all that anyways.
