My son considers this blues. I always thought of it as acid rock. (because of the history of the band). I guess you can decide for yourself.
Mike Pinera and Larry Rhinehart were both 2 seasoned blues guitarists and you can hear the Allman bro influence (Rhino lived with Dickey Betts for a while) They were both hired to replace Erick Braunn who left the band in '69 right after their live album was recorded. Pinera wrote this to be his own "Inna Gadda Vida."
