  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

We did A LOT of what Leanna suggested once I got near my due date, I also ate spicy foods, which oddly enough did make me have "contractions" whether they were actual contractions is debatable. I walked a lot too, almost every other night mom would come pick me up and take me to the mall to walk around. We did everything we could think of to get that baby out..except for castor oil..I wasn't that desperate:sick:

UPDATE:

I went in for the non-stress test and aminiotic fluid index this morning. Baby is healthy, but the fluid is dangerously low at this point. It's a good thing I did not go on some bumpy hayride. They are inducing me tomorrow morning. This is not the natural birth I hoped for or envisioned. There is a lot of mixed emotions. But the good news is, Baby will be safely out either tomorrow or the next day. I pray tomorrow.

Drink LOTS of water and rest a lot today. Upping your fluids really does influence the amount of amniontic fluid... so drink up! ;)

Maybe you can make a deal with your caregiver... Have the pitocin turned on for an hour and see if it "kick-started" labor. If you have contractions on your own, then let your caregiver know that you'd like a "trial of labor" to labor on your own and see how it goes....

Beth, I really hope it goes well for you. Don't be too scared! I had to be induced for the same reason -- and at least you got a day's notice so you can sleep well tonight :). And what someone said before about your body going into natural labor is true. I was on pitocin for awhile but they eventually turned it off because I was having my own contractions :) You're in my prayers!
