CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Just for some info, I had a very very positive induction experience, so it is possible! Just keep praying! We're all praying for you too! Anyway it goes you'll have your beautiful baby soon!!!!!

I know you didn't want to be induced, but at least you know when you'll finally hold that sweet baby in your arms. Maybe you'll even go into labor naturally this evening, and get to skip the induction. I agree you should ask to stop the pitocin once your contractions are going and see if that was enough to get you going on your own.
Birth is an amazing experience, even if it doesn't go how you expected. Meeting your child face to face for the first time is indescribable.
I'll be praying for you too.

Beth I am sorry you didn't get the natural birth you wanted but I am sure everything will go great! I have been induced before and everything went great! I didn't even have pitocin. Try not to let all the horror stories get to you. I am praying you have a fast and smooth labor!

Hopefully you'll go into labor on your own and they won't have to induce you..but either way, you're precious baby will be here soon

Still no update (I'm on board where someone has phone contact with her). Induction for first time mom supposedly takes a while.

It can definatly be a long process..I was in labor for 16 hours..it would have been much longer if I hadn't of had a c section, but my doctor told me before I began to not expect Emily within 24 hours because it wasn't uncommon for a woman to be in labor for up to 3 days when induced.

Well I'm glad he told me tho, I was really excited and he knew that..he just didn't want me to be disappointed.
I really hope Beth has a good labor experience, I know she was really disappointed about being induced.

Wow. I only took 8 hrs and it was my first baby. And I only had the gel, no pitocin. By 5 hours I was already 9 cm!
