If enough people earn a living from such they are no longer problems but valuable resources.

Based on what we know. For example we know that overeating causes problems, yet we overeat. On my graph the "Where we were" people didn't overeat and thus didn't suffer the diseases attributed to overeating. If people reduced their food intake they could be on the "Where we should be" graph. As it is we are on the "Where we are" graph, overweight with the attending disorders.

Only because of safer vehicles and better emergency medical care. The problem of crashes remains. My point is that a whole new cause of death and injury was introduced with the automobile, with more on the way.
