Two different malls with different demographics. I dont see that as an advantage to one team over another--isnt that the whole point? Being able to tackle and sell to customers?

Of course we would not know--we dont see the tasks like we used to. I remember past seasons when my granddaughter used to watch with me and she actually learned some tricks about presentation from one of the "Kendra" tasks and used it for her school "MIllion Dollar" project.

We dont have that Apprentice any longer. I cant help but wonder if Trump doesnt have the same clout in LA as he does in NY.
Rich business men are a dime a dozen out there.

I hate the tents and could careless about any romance. I keep hoping the LA health dept will crash tent city lol

I thought that it was probably 2 different malls as well but, you're right, it really wasn't made clear.

I hope this is the last time they try the tent thing too. Perhaps as it gets down to fewer contestants the tent penalty will be eliminated.

I was happy to see Arrow win again and really happy to see Derek go.

But what really gets me--what with Derek's plan to eliminate a team member one by one with his little group (alliance) and with Survivers "comfort" camp is that the two shows have crossed wires!

I have to say this has been my favorite episode - all because of the boardroom.

I was totally blown away when Trump fired Derek. It was great. "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks."

It was the most intelligent boardroom scene I've seen since probably the first or second season. I have to completely respect the way Jenn handled herself in the boardroom and even as she was leaving in the car. I'm not totally convinced that it was here fault either.

I just watched it and I was SO glad to see the board room result (won't spoil it until you've seen it).

One thing I was curious about though is how come Trump didn't even out the team numbers. After both Jenn and Derek left, the Kinetic was down by two people. BTW, I completely agree about how Jenn handled her firing. I admired her ability to stay calm and positive and even humorous. How did she do that, rather than getting mad (since she really did believe it was Angela's fault, and I partly agree with her)?

I'm glad to see Surya gone.

It's not that he's dumb or incompetent... he's just plain old annoying. Everything that his teammates said about him, I found to be true. He was like a major wet towel.

He kept bragging about his "5 and 2" record... it means nothing. He wasn't really responsible for the two wins. He was just lucky enough to be the project manager of a winning team when the other team completely blew it.

And I think he was taking this competition a bit too seriously also. He looked like he wanted to cry when he was whispering to the girls through the fence. Did you guys notice the frown on his face? It was perfectly downward shaped... just like this guy --> :(

I think they should separate the teams completely. Have them stay at different locations and only be together at the start and end of each task.

There are several things I just don't care for in this season.

1. The tent. This is a business game. Unless you are trying to be an executive with L. L. Bean there is no reason to have a tent in the business world. The next time Trump fails in a negotiation, he should have to live in a tent in Central Park.

2. The winning project manager getting a say in the board room. They weren't watching the other team prepare and execute the task. They really have no knowledge of the losing team's dynamics.

3. I miss George and Carolyn.

Trump has gone for a rating boost and I don't think it is working.

In the past--this was a serious competition. It is a job interview and these contestants are all smart professionals looking to work for Trump.

I wonder how you were able to determine that what Suryas team mates said was true?
At one time--a 5&2 record would have counted with Trump and to suggest that he didnt bring a loosing team to a win is not true. (read what Tims says at Suryas site)

Surya approached this season as most of them did thinking it would be like previous seasons. None of them thought they were going to be on "surviver".

I think we need to keep in mind the creative editing which does not show anyone in a true light and in fact manipulates what you see by taking cuts out of context to the point of falsehood.
Take a look at Suryasays.com and read his words about the show.

He has recieved very unkind e-mails and coments when most of his "TV" moments hit the cutting room floor.
If you go to any of their "My spaces" or web sites--you will find they are human beings who all were played the fool for this season of the show. Something none of them expected since that was not what the Apprentice used to be about.

Suryas site allows coments and he was kind enough to respond to mine.
In the words of one of his fellow contestants--Surya was the one who kept his integrity, is brilliant and brought order to chaotic Team Arrow.

Yes, Angela was obviously lucky to get a second chance.

Surya is quite likely a brilliant man. He simply has zero people skills and lacks common sense. I don't think he can be credited at all with bringing this team together. I think they just got their act together. They really were not following his leadership so he can't receive credit for bring them together.

Really?
Here is "Tims" (of the Apprentice) take on Surya:

"He worked his ass off, always played intelligently, was never ever petty, and held on dearly to his integrity.
So why did it go wrong for him?"
Tim continues
"Quite simply, Surya and Team Arrow were not a good match. Well, at least Surya and Frank weren’t. See, Frank cannot relate to a guy like Surya. He just can’t. And Frank reacted by being unnecessarily dickish. Then I believe that some of the other team members jumped on that boat, as a strategy (if the whole team is against Surya, everyone else is safe). In a real world professional situation, most of the people on Arrow would click quite well with Surya. What happened was not fair, but the fact is, The Apprentice is not remotely fair."

"The sad fact is, The Apprentice is a show that rewards trash-talking. So when members of the team trash-talk Surya, it makes the air. Surya refused to trash-talk his teammates behind their back, and as a result, his side of the story was rarely told. Unfortunately, that’s the nature of the beast (after all, it’s not great TV to hear a project manager saying they’re enjoying working with a group of strong teammates). "

One can read all of what Tim has to say in coments at suryasays.com.
I think you will find that Surya can take credit and given that we all seem to take note of how much this show has changed--common sense tells us what we see is not the whole story.

I'm still not convinced.

Camera editing aside, we still saw footage that wasn't made up of Surya sitting at the table going "blah blah blah blah", just saying the sort of stuff that would make anyone roll their eyes. It wasn't someone doing a voiceover for Surya, it was actually him talking.

Like that scene when they were in the house just before meeting up with Trump and Surya was giving some kind of speech about his reasons for coming over to the other team. How else was that to be perceived?

Again, I'm not saying that he wasn't smart or competent. I'm sure he's very talented and bright, but he's just really.... stiff.

My thoughts as well.

I don't consider myself to be as intelligent or as well educated as any of the men or women on the show but I do consider myself to be intelligent enough to know that there is a great deal of editing to the show. You can almost guess who will be fired from each team before you even know which team has lost. In fact, I have stated that previously about the show.
