I wish they'd move it back to Wednesdays at 8/7 like it was last season. In it's current time slot it conflicts with some other shows I want to watch.

Ashlynn, did you watch Potato nose's Big Brother season? She's a loathsome wench. I hate her. TAR is my favorite RTV show and in my top 5 of all television shows, but her participation this season is definately a downer.

You got that right, US. I cannot stand her even though I didn't watch Big Brother. I am dreading the possibility that they may actually win this thing, and then what will I do? Stop watching? It almost makes me long for Flo the whiny you-know-what.

I love watching the Amazing Race. I always look forward to it in the Summer.

By the way...The Bowling Mom's are from my home town. (I don't know them personally...I found out when they announced where they were from on the first show. )

The team I hope are eliminated are the brothers Marshall and Lance. Have you heard the garbage that comes out of their mouths?

Wooo! I don't have to worry about Alison winning now! I'll bet she never looks at a dog the same way again.

I see they're trying to start a controversy with Chip and the twins. I really didn't see that he did anything dirty, after all it is a RACE, not a popularity contest. But I will say that Chip & Kim need to tune up their racing skills if they want to survive. I still like them, though.

Same for Charla & Mirna. They almost saw disaster in Uruguay and by a lucky break came in second, but they need to learn map reading, pronto.

I find it very interesting that 2 out of 4 young dating couples are now eliminated. This is shaping up to be a very good season already!

That episode was so good! LOL! I think Charla and Mirna kicked butt! They are proving themselves in this race! I'm very happy with the Christian team coming in first place and Charla and Mirna in second, that was cool. Yeah it was funny with Chip & Kim & the twins, no I don't see what Chip did as being wrong either, they all thought they were the last two teams and whoever didn't get that cab they thought would be the last team and therefore get eliminated, so he was just fighting to stay in. LOL! I thought it was funny what the bowling moms did too when they told the ex marine dad & daughter that they needed to exchange their money! ROFL! So the military dad & daughter stood in that long line trying to exchange their currency and all the other teams were going on with the race! That put them behind, they didn't need to exchange their currency, those moms set them up! LOL! I don't see why they believed the moms, they know they are in a race!

Watching the teams with those dogs was hilarious! No way would I have chosen the dog thing, they were getting tangled all up in all of those leashes and the moms and the dating couple that got eliminated got lost with all of those dogs wandering the streets looking for those check marks, and those dogs were having sex, that was funny, I would not have chosen those dogs, it looked like 20 of them! LOL!

It was funny when Charla and Mirna went up to those hookers asking where the dance club was! LOL!

Did you hear how dumb those brothers sounded when he was saying those people were useless foriegners, I'm like hello! You're the foriegner! You are in Uriguay, you're the foreigner! ROFL!

I love the Amazing race so much! LOL! It's the best reality show on!

Yeah, I'm glad they're gone, I liked them the least, right along with those brothers. LOL! Allison told Donny that her mistake was that she stopped controlling him! LOL! Donny was the one who made the wrong choices with the dogs and when they got lost she was trying to tell him to ask someone and then his choice not to take the cab, even at one of the stops she was trying to tell him they had enough for the cab, I would have gotten off that bus right there and took a cab, but he wanted to stay on that bus and it kept making stops. LOL! I think they broke up too at the end didn't they? Oh well, LOL!

Yes that is very interesting isn't it!? It's the ones who looked the weakest that are shaping up to be the biggest competitors, especially Charla & Mirna. The older ones are hanging in there too. I have no idea who the winners will be at this point.

Did anybody notice that Brandon and Nicole did not get a cruise or vacation for coming in first? Or at least they didn't announce it. I would think the sponser would have a fit.

I don't think they give away prizes for first place in every leg. At least, they never did before. Do you really think the sponsoring company would allow them to miss their plug?

OK, I am going to shamelessly plug another website that you guys may be interested in. They recap TV shows with an attitude (mostly fun attitude, but then again). It's www.televisionwithoutpity.com - the recapper that does the Amazing Race - Miss Alli - is pretty funny. Also, they have a forum for the TV shows and the TAR posters are quite rabid fans. Check it out if you have an extra day to waste, lol. Warning, though, the site is very, um, secular.

Here's an excerpt from last week's recap:

Charla and Mirna, those independent women, have decided to get help from some of the locals to finish the walk. Mirna instructs the guy they track down not to carry the meat (which probably would have been a rule violation), but to carry their packs for them instead. Charla then announces that Mirna should put the meat on her shoulders. For some reason, Mirna protests that Charla can't do that, which seems stupid, given that we have already seen Charla carry Mirna on her shoulders, and Mirna weighs more than 55 pounds. Anyway, the meat is hoisted onto Charla's shoulders. And then you see it -- the iconic shot of the first episode. Charla, in white coat and plastic hair covering, carrying a side of beef on her shoulders while Mirna runs uselessly alongside her. Every once in a while, you need a shot that just makes you go, "Huh. There's something you don't see every day." Mirna cheers Charla on by telling her she's the strongest woman here. Unfortunately for them, in the great tradition of this episode, they walk right by the butcher shop and keep going. What I really wish is that they had gotten separated, and that Mirna had had to walk up to a bunch of people who don't speak English, trying to figure out how to ask them if they've seen a dwarf in a plastic hat running with a dead cow on her back. They'd be all, "Crazy Americans," and then they'd go back to whatever they were doing.

Charla and Mirna are a tough team and one that I'm definitely rooting for. They've proven to the others that they are a team not to be trifled with and I think (and hope and pray) that they'll be given a lot more respect for the rest of the race.

Allison was loathesome on BB, and proving to be the same on TAR. So much so that her presence was lessening my enjoyment of the show. Thank God she's gone. Now let her name and her potato nose never be referenced again.

I too am a member of a forum dedicated to reality TV shows. Our focus is more on making fun the the media harlots who populate these shows, but the majority of us who watch TAR are unadulterated fanboys and fangirls. I love this show.

Heading into episode three, everyone remaining is worth rooting for in some way except for the Brothers (way to "represent Dallas you jerks) and the evil twins. Jim the military dad rocks the most IMO, but I'm not real impressed with daughter Marsha.

Fun show. I couldn't believe that Allison's boyfriend decided to navigate and let her do the work with the dogs. And he wouldn't help her by carrying her pack? He needs lessons in what it is to be a real man I take it. No wonder she was freaking out. He totally didn't see that any of it was on him. And what was that comment he made? "If you weren't blonde, you wouldn't be so stupid"? I detest blonde jokes. And I think it takes a spineless whimp to say something like that to someone they supposedly care about. That comment went way too far.

Charla is great, but her cousin Mirna, what a whiner. I can not stand to hear her talk! And these ladies...talk about playing up the pity card. I can't stand that! It's like saying, I'm a girl, and I just can't do it all on my own, would you big handsome men come and help helpless little old me? Gag!!!

Great idea Chip had to sit in the taxi to hold up the other team until another one could come along. I don't know why the other team got so offended by it and tried to make it personal. It's just a game.

Glad they didn't focus on the brothers as much this show. Can you believe that they expected those young people to know where they wanted to go, and then said "Their useless, completely useless" ? Talk about thinking the whole world is there to service you. Bleck! Please let them be eliminated soon.

And Yeah Bowling Mom's from Palmdale. You Rock! They were right, we don't have "foam clubs" in Palmdale. Actually, I don't think we even have any nightclubs out here. They seem to roll up the sidewalks at 10:00, even on the weekends.

EXACTLY. I like this team, really. But Mirna, dear, please buy a clue. My favorite moment was when they were looking for the foam club (ewwww), and Mirna saw the hooker and said, "There's someone dressed in a disco outfit. Maybe she knows where the club is." ROFL!!! And also, Charla keeps saying that everyone will see what she can do etc., well then do NOT complain if no one wants to help! She can't have it both ways.

LOL! Yeah that was a trip! They are definately using Charla's shortness to their advantage when it benefits them but at the same time they are trying to show that short people can do anything anyone else can do! LOL! It's so funny! They are playing both ends to their advantage. I like Charla & Mirna, they are the coolest team yet! Mirna has a crush on Phil she said in the first episode that he was gorgeous! LOL! She makes sure she gets her hug every time she makes it to a pit stop too! LOL!

Yeah I agree. They know in the end they are in a game and they are compeditors, they are not there to make friends, maybe another time and place, but not right there in the game. Remember in the first episode the girl said they had lost because her boyfriend was such a "nice guy". LOL! They have to be competitive. As long as he didn't run and tackle her and knock her down to get the cab, what he did was fair game, he just even up things by waiting for the next cab to come.
