Gee, I guess I'm taking over my thread, but I have info. Here's the description of Yield, by Phil Keoghan himself, from TV Guide Online:

This year, we have this new element [called] Yield. Each team is allowed to use the Yield once — it's a way for them to stop a team that's behind them from moving forward. They can stop them for a predetermined amount of time at a particular point in the leg. [The yielded team] has to wait, even as other teams pass them. The challenge is, when do you use the Yield and what are the ramifications? Do you use it at the beginning or save it for the end? Which team do you target? And if they survive it, will have they a vendetta against you?

Personally, I'd like to know what the 'predetermined amount of time' is.

Too early to tell. They made a few mistakes but nothing too costly, so far.

OK, believe it or not I have prior commitments on Tuesday nights so I'll be watching this on tape delay. I just had it in my mind that it was on on Wednesdays.

Like (so far):

Chip & Kim - they're a cute couple, and thank goodness they squeaked through.
Charla & Mirna - great teamwork!
The bowling moms

Dislike:
Lance & Marshall - I thought they might be this season's Kevin & Drew or Ken & Gerard, but unfortunately they're just annoying.
The twins - ick. Especially when one said they were being beat by a midget.

The rest I am just meh about, really.

I like Charla and Mirna myself. They will prove that a person with dwarfism can compete and succeed brilliantly.

Especially when it comes with carrying a side of cow; Mirna is a powerhouse!

lol thats true. I think I'm still going to go with the dad/daughter team, even though he did mess up his knee pretty bad last night. Either them, or the daters/model group. the guy twins..not sure if you keep up with nascar, but they look alot like Tony Stewart

I just loved the first episode, it was soooo good! I thought for a second that Jim & Marsha were going to be out of the race because of his knee, he needed 25 stitches! Yikes, but he kept on going. A couple of the other guys fell too when they first all took off, I thought they were going to get trampled. LOL!

I was so proud of little Charla, she told Mirna to put the beef on her shoulders and she did carry it too! It weighed 55lbs I know they were worn out from that! I'm rooting for them because Charla can show that dwarfs can do anything regular people can do.

I thought Chip & Kim were going to lose when they had gotten all the way to the pit stop but had to go back because they had missed the clue accross the street from the hotel, the twins missed it too. LOL! It's a good thing they were first, if they had been one of the slowest teams and had to go back for the clue they would have been out.

The ones i can't stand is Marshall & Lance and Allison & Donny. I just don't like them, I really don't like Marshall & Lance they just seem like ... I don't know, I just don't like them. LOL!

I like Linda & Karen, Chip & Kim, the twins, Charla & Mirna, Branden & Nicole are cool too, I like his faith and the fact that they are Christians.

Who do you guys think will be eliminated next? I think maybe Bob & Joyce. I was surprised that the young strong team got eliminated first. LOL! That goes to show you that you just can't tell who will win!

Is it just me or do you hate that they moved TAR5 back an hour? That means, here in the east, it doesn't come on until 10pm. I gotta get up at 5:30am!!

I like the team of moms and the Christian models- I also like Allison and Donny- because wow that donny is a looker! LOL I dont even remember what Allison looks like! I dont know if there is a team Im not fond of...hmmm yes there is one but I dont remember their names it is a guy/girl team and the guy said he was very, very intense. The brothers...eh, I dont think they will last too long. I love the amazing race!

I wish they'd move it back to Wednesdays at 8/7 like it was last season. In it's current time slot it conflicts with some other shows I want to watch.

Ashlynn, did you watch Potato nose's Big Brother season? She's a loathsome wench. I hate her. TAR is my favorite RTV show and in my top 5 of all television shows, but her participation this season is definately a downer.

I can't wait to see tonight's episode! Yeah from the previews I saw, I think two teams were fighting over a taxi and one person from each team was in the taxi and refused to get out. LOL! That's gonna be funny! I think it was Chip and one of the twins in it.
