I got the impression that it was a pretty short time. Hour? Couple of hours?

I'm also starting to get the impression that Brandon and Nicky do have God on their side because they certainly don't have brains or good decision making skills as far as the detours/roadblocks/fast forwards go.

The Blunder Twins looked exhausted when they checked in. Maybe now they'll start eating something.

I think the producers are obviously using Brandon and Nicole's faith to add some drama. That's the second week in a row we've seen Brandon pray out loud for God to help them, and his prayers have been answered. I think it's wonderful how they're so open about they're faith, but I can see how someone of different beliefs might consider them the 'token Christians'. And it's totally the producers' fault...grr. Hehe...I did have to laugh when Brandon ask Nicole if they should stop and say a prayer for help, and she said in that exsaperated fashion, "Just pray out loud." LOL, I think the stress is getting to her.

It's also funny to me how opposite Colin/Christie and Brandon/Nicole are. Here's Colin, the adrenaline junkie and his girlfriend who "loves that about him." And, then Brandon who thinks Nicole's whining is somewhat endearing and just wants to protect her at all costs ("What if Nicole hit her head on a rock or something??"). Wonder if they pick their teams based on things like that? Although I do find myself wondering if Brandon was just too scared to do the sledging thing himself...he didn't even want to do the zorph thingy at the end, lol.

I was proud of the moms...I'm sure their kids were, too. That would have been a pretty scary thing to do. I'm not sure I would have had the guts.

I think Chip will be the one to use the Yield next week...he may be a little paranoid after their close call this week. Maybe he'll use it against Colin and Christie. That would be great! They mentioned some backstabbing or double crossing or something...Colin and Christie and Chip and Kim are the only teams that I can think of that seem to have a little alliance going (at least on the surface). So if it's not Chip/Kim using it, I think it will be Colin/Christie.

Funny how this week Colin/Christie were talking about calming down and working better as a team...and then next week he says he hates her, after he's just said this week that he loves her so much and would never want anyone else. I think Colin might possibly have some sort of chemical imbalance triggered by stress. I say that somewhat joking, but seriously, Colin demonstrates so many characteristics of an abuser. Things have to be his way and if things go wrong, he goes off...and he's always sorry after the fact. Apparently not sorry enough to change his behavior the next time. He has no self control and he strikes me as the type that believes that 'if she wouldn't tick me off then I wouldn't blow up the way I do'.

Grrr...Colin just makes me mad. I second the poster who said that I hope they can take seperate vacations. I sure wouldn't stick around for that kind of treatment.

I agree that the producers try to present brandon and nicky as the token Christians on the show. I really don't see Brandon and nicole trying to push their faith on anyone or anything like that. They are just living their life and God is in it. I see a lot of similarities between what they do and Chip and Kim.

Everyone can hold their horses about there being a short waiting period between TAR 5 and TAR 6:

TV Guide Online said:
In related news, TV Guide Online has learned that the Eye Network has again postponed the new season of The Amazing Race — this time until late October. "We want to give a little more space between the finale of Race 5 and the premiere of Race 6," says the rep. "We think the audience likes the breather."

I think it's a good thing. I like to speculate on the new teams for awhile, so I can start the show with a completely biased opinion. ;)

With the ending of BB5 and the start of Survivor: Vanuatu, I think it's a good idea that TAR6 will get a little breather. In fact, I wouldn't mind if they postponed it even to the end of November of beginning of December, that way Survivor will get to be by themselves for a while.

Having BB and TAR airing at the same timme in the summer season was really draining.

The Amazing Race is CBS's best reality show, Big Brother has always, in my opinion, been boring(it's like CBS's The Real World....boring.), and Survivor plunged over its all star season. I love the show, and how it is not the same every week, new places to go to, climate differences, economical differences, and position differences. I like that you can't be "voted out", if you are the fastest team, you will win, despite everyone else not liking you. No "Power Alliances" that rule the game(The Robfather & Amber). It is original.

Go Brandon & Nicole, and Chip & Kim!

I think with reality shows, people like different ones for different reasons. I like this one because I always wanted to see the world. And this way I can, sort of. Of course, I wouldn't want to go to all the countries they go to, or be in so much of a hurry that I couldn't really take it all in.

I'm rooting for Linda and Karen to win. But I'm pretty sure Colin and Christy will win it.

What did you mean a breather? Doesn't The Amazing Race always air in the Summer?

Okay, now that the Twinkies are gone, I'm really hoping for Colin and Christie to have an off week and lose it tonight. What are the chances? Not very good, considering their record, but everyone screws up sometime, don't they?

Oh boy, Heather, that would be fantastic. It's what I'm hoping for, anyway.

Actually, the first season of TAR was aired in the fall of '01, with season 2 not far behind in March of '02 (finishing up by May). Season 3 aired in October '02, and then due to ratings there was a long wait for TAR 4 to air in summer '03. Since then, the show came dangerously close to cancellation, but luckily won an Emmy last year so it was given another shot. After waiting a full year between seasons 4 and 5, to have TAR 6 scheduled to air in October is like an early Christmas present!

Amazing Race 6? Sweet! I can't wait, and I can't wait for 2 hours for tonight's, I like Old Soul think that Colin and Christie will win. I hope that the Bowling Moms lose tonight (never liked them since they lied to Jim & Marsha). I like Brandon & Nicole the best because they are christians, and have maintained their witness to this point. I hate it when a claimed christian is on a reality show, and uses "colorful" language to other people, It makes the world think: "I thought christians acted better than that, heck he has a worse mouth than I do." Something along those lines.

WOW! tonight's episode was wild! Colin and Christy get yeilded! It's gonna be interesting to see how they are gonna beg for money for the next leg. That was awesome to see Brandon ask for God's help and then thank him when he climbed the ladder under the bridge. Also, Chips comments about the blood of jesus were interesting. My respect meter for Colin and Christy are now at -10. Christy really should have helped Colin more to try and find the clue in that one challenge. All the other teams were working together, instead of yelling at each other. What was up with the whole 'its ok, you can run them over'???

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot believe this. What a kick in the pants. I guess production is trying to shake things up for us viewers a bit, but tonight was just plain evil, lol!

gvsuman, I totally agree with you about Christie. She was scary tonight. Just run them over? Not helping Colin with the clue? No wonder Colin got so, er, intense. And both of them saying Chip & Kim weren't playing fair - I'm sorry, all that was missing there was to add, "so I'm taking my ball and going home."
