The Airport
It was like Mean Girls in real life. I mean, c'mon--Brandon qualifies as a girl, and Colin was on the road there with all of his drama the past episode. Good TV, though.

The Bus
Evidently they (Brandon/Nichole & Twins) forgot that they are dealing with a different culture who sees them as millionaires already just 'cause they are Americans. Though I've always held disdain for Brandon and Nichole (mostly 'cause they are the token "Christians" who don't bear much fruit when things get rough), I think they sank a new low on my register on this leg of the race mainly 'cause of their impatience and whining.

Chip and Kim
I like Chip and Kim (and this may be ethnocentric of me), but I think the whole "we're with my people" stuff is ridiculous.

And so this would explain why the first bus charged $5.00 and the third $3.00, while the second bus charged $100.00? So, given your reasoning the second load of passengers looked like Americans who are obviously millionaires but the other sets of Americans looked like natives because the Americans Brandon/Nichole and the Twins forgot that they were in a different culture?! That is just too funny.

Brandon and Nichole may be the only ones who are being promoted as being Christians, but in watching the show, I think we've already established that they are far from token. And weren't they actually more whiney in the beginning? I get the feeling that in another few years that whiney impatience that you see will be a more settled boldness to do what needs to be done and say what needs to be said without backing down because they're afraid of things turning ugly like they were in this situation.

Chip and KimSorry you think it's rediculous that they would really enjoy being in the country of their roots. Shoot, my ancestors migrated to escape religious persecution and make a better life in the U.S. over 200 years ago and I would be excited to see where my ancestors came from...and I know where they came from. I can trace them back to the 1500's. Imagine how tough it must be to a person who's ancestors were kidnapped and moved to a foreign land against their will. They lost their ancestry. I realize that to some people heritage is not of much importance. But I can understand why this would give them some joy.

I realize that you have a right to your opinion and I to mine. I realize that our beliefs are completely differant and that is why we disagree. Please don't take this as a personal attack, just an exchange of opposing ideas. As all good conversations are.

For the Christian thing, if I am not mistaken, I think in one episode I had heard Colin/Christie say they were Christians as well, and in this last eppy. I thought I saw a cross around Colin's neck.

I still don't like those two though, Colin just flat out scares me.

My favorite couple is now gone, so I am rooting for Brandon and Nicole.

I'm really getting annoyed by Colin & Christie. Christie was worse than Colin last week as far as I'm concerned. And it bugs me that whatever trouble Colin gets in tomorrow won't matter because I am banking on it being a non-elimination leg. Oh, and as for the cross on Colin's neck, I think it's probably just a decoration. This is the guy who thought the prodigal son was Jesus, after all.

I may be the only person in America who feels this way, but I can't stand Charla and Mirna and I'm glad they were eliminated. I thought Charla was just as bad as Mirna...I'm not going to refrain from thinking she's annoying because she's different. I hated how they used her height to get things, I hated how they always played the victim and tried to make everyone else look bad, and I REALLY hated how they spoke English with an accent as if it would help someone who doesn't speak the language at all understand them. Thank goodness they're gone.
I'm rooting for Brandon and Nicole, and Chip and Kim. I think Chip and Kim will win it all!
As for my favorite team of all time...that has to be Rob and Brennan, from TAR 1. The way they ran the race was just beautiful...like clockwork! Not to mention the fact that THEY were beautiful, too.

Oh no, fieldmouse3, I can show you a whole bunch of folk that can't (couldn't ) stand them either. Myself included.

What really killed Mirna for me was last week. She was trying to get the Moms sympathy by exploiting Charla, saying that Christie was blocking Charla, not the both of them. And I won't even go in to how many times we heard "Hurry, Charla, run!" And if she said bellisimo one more time....

As for my favorite team of all time...that has to be Rob and Brennan, from TAR 1. The way they ran the race was just beautiful...like clockwork! Not to mention the fact that THEY were beautiful, too.

Yah, Brennan's pretty hot.

Oh man, that would be a dream come true. Especially if they added a whole mess of extra footage on the DVDs. I haven't heard anything about it yet. Maybe the least we can hope for is to be replayed on GSN.

I couldn't stand Charla and Mirna, either. They were manipulative and whiny and tried on countless occassions to exploit Charla's size...despite the fact that we heard over and over that she wanted to prove that she could do the same things other people could do...GRRR. If she wanted to prove it then she shouldn't have used it to her advantage so many times. If I were a small person then I'd be ashamed of the way she acted.

As for Brandon and Nicole, I love them. I hope they win. I don't think they're token Christians. In fact, even though they whine occassionally (and every team does that), they have hardly ever gotten rude with each other despite how much they've struggled. I think they've done an awesome job of supporting each other throughout and really playing as a team.

I hope the twins go next...they're so darn witchy...to each other and everyone else.

Was anyone else as disappointed as I was that Colin didn't get thrown in jail?? He's so obnoxious...I can't believe Christie puts up with that. She's rather annoying herself, but he's just MEAN.

Whatever team takes the FF next week has to cut off all their hair! You can hope it will be Chip and Kim because half the team is already there. And Kim brought scarves with her so she can cover up.

Colin was just annoying to me so far, but tonight he was really ugly. I honestly thought he would allow himself to be thrown in jail just to prove his point. Also, it was a good thing they had a camera crew with them as there's no telling what may have happened to him otherwise.
