CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I got mine and my daughter's federal and state taxes done, just waiting for the local tax form to come in the mail...than I will be all done
I have a wife for that!I really need to get my taxes done.
Seriously, she's much better at managing tax stuff than I am. She just beat me over the head the other day to give her my 1098 that I had to get online from my student loan website.
It's not my fault I'm forgetful!

I didn't get my tax stuff gathered on my lunch break, but I did contact our satellite company and got our bill reduced to almost half of what we've been paying (and only lost one of the channels we watch
)...the money we're saving will now pay for the dental insurance I just signed us up for today.

I can be dense at times...I have been patiently waiting for my daughter's 1098. Checking the mail everyday. Monday this finally went off
it hit me to check the school website... and right there in big black print.. yeah 1098's are ready, will not be mailed, go to this login, blah, blah, blah to print it out.

I got all the stuff together to do my taxes tonight.
I also got my whole bedroom tidied up and sorted through a ton of things that needed to be sorted.
I bathed the Swamp Thing that turned out to be our dog once clean again.
I am getting ready to clean out the turtle bowl.
I still need to tackle my To Do pile of papers and empty the dishwasher...but I'm so much farther ahead than I was about 8 hours ago.

Yesterday was amazing. I had the best work out I've had in a long while, helped for two hours at the school, got a chai tea and bought some jeans, went to bible study, covered my bosses lunch at the store, cleaned the house and put my new area rugs down, practiced cello, clarinet, flute, sax, soprano sax and played on the tin whistle for awhile, gave two lessons, made a fish dinner, watched 4 of my favorite TV shows and went to bed.

I made myself clean out the guest room (which will be my daughter's room eventually) of a bunch of crap including stuff from Christmas that hadn't been processed. I tossed out whatever was trash and stuffed the rest in the newly vacated garage...the door opener broke and my wife's car lives in the driveway now.
The room is already in use! It has two very tall windows that look over the wooded front yard. We all went in there to read yesterday and it was nice.
