  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

After 8 hours yesterday and 3 hours today I got 2 of my boss's checking accounts balanced :) My boss has her own way of keeping her checkbook registers... it is time consuming and a challenge for me to balance them... good thing I love the challenge :)

Want to tackle mine next? :p I am not very good at budgeting/balancing the checkbook. :sorry:

My daughter had her first pottie poo yesterday!

Yay!!!! :hoho:

We live in an big ole 135 year old victorian home. One of the bathrooms is original to the 1920's and the stool is, well, unique to say the least. It can't be repaired by your typical replacement parts. After a few trips to the hardware store I got it working again today after a week's downtime, to a big yay from all my daughters.

My wife and I took some burritos and tacos and went for a 2 hour drive in the country. We got away from the traffic, enjoyed seeing all the crops in the farmland, enjoyed the great Arizona weather (80 degrees), and got some peace and quite from the hustle and bustle of the city. The burritos and tacos tasted better also!!!! YUM YUM!

What did we accomplish? We enjoyed the simple things in life and got refreshed!

I finally, finally had the energy to clean up the apartments, top to bottom, laundry and get everything organized again.
It's made me much more relaxed to be in a clean, organized home.
I also turned 24 last Tuesday, and made a bunch of freezer meals. (2 lasagnas, 2 cabbage-roll casserole, 2 creamy chicken cass. and frozen Minestrone soup.) So I have meals for when I'm feeling le crappy. :D

Not accomplishing much this weekend. I am fighting a nasty infection. It hurts to swallow, and it's hard to breathe when I lay down, so sleep is difficult. Sorry, not trying to whine, but I don't have the energy to do what needs done.
Whining is allowed!

I haven't accomplished anything this weekend, either, as I am sick as well (still!). Hope you feel better really soon!

I *hope* to accomplish getting ingredients for and baking a cake for my wife tonight while she is at work. With my two-year-old! I think it will go well as long as she doesn't fall asleep on the way to the store. If she falls asleep on the way back, that's actually good!

Remi and I made a delcious v-day dinner of Saucy pork chops, rice and asparagus. YUM!!
AND! He also applied for his colleg course! WHOO! After working so hard as an apprentice, and as a welder, he's re-training into something he loves.
We plan on being poor for 2 years - but I'm optimistic. :D

Got up at 3:30am, got ready, went to work, picked up client, took said client to get a physical (they have to have them REALLY early in the morning), took said client to McDonalds afterwards for breakfast because he had fasted the night before, took said client to his day program so he could be picked up and taken to work, picked up another client and took to a specialist, did paperwork, went to training until 7pm, went to urgent care for myself, came home and discovered new symptoms I didn't know about when I was at urgent care, freaked out, took drugs, now I'm drugged, the end.

God bless and good night! Get some sleep!
