Ever have that moment where you spent a lot of time and effort on something in a video game, only to realize that it could have been easier if you'd done it differently?

A few days ago, I was playing Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. After I've played it for around 16 years and have had 100% completion for a couple years, I suddenly realized that...(in a spoiler so not to spoil anything!)

...the walls, etc. that hide some of the Crystal Shards have the colors of the Copy Abilities you need to use to break them.

If I'd only known that sooner, I may not have had to spend years trying to get all of them!

And perhaps if my focus was not on solving the mysteries of video games, I could have spent those years giving praise and glorying in the Word of God. And unraveling those mysteries instead. It's ok. There is no better time than now

A few days ago I was playing Ocarina of Time and I got to the part where you had to sneak around the guards to get inside the castle. I never knew that you could talk to the guard at the gate and pay him 10 or 20 rupees so he could open the gate instead of having to climb the vines.

I think the long way to do things is part of the fun sometimes. :D
This may be why I find timed games to be stressful.

However, if I play a lot I think it's fun to learn different shortcuts depending on the game.

I agree! I've never liked being timed in video games either. :p
