If they've risen in Texas under Gov. Abbott, maybe that's an important clue for you.
Maybe not, Here is some perspective for you:

This is another Gateway Pundit hoax. Same guys who were peddling the story that Arizona ballots were destroyed in a chicken house fire. Total fantasy.
I could post video, and some would still reject the facts to defend Biden.

Here they are cutting the wire to escort the illegals in:

Here's another one: agent giving a bump to the smiling criminal:

Gracias!

Here's another one, cutting the fence on private property to let criminals in:

Which is is what they'd have to do to apprehend them and process them. Since the border patrol has apprehended a large number of such immigrants, why would anyone assume that they were bringing them in to let them go?

Crime rates nationwide have declined under Biden:

U.S. Crime Rates and Trends — Analysis of FBI Crime Statistics

Criminal Noncitizen Statistics Fiscal Year 2023

For a valid perspective, let's see how crime rates for citizens and non-citizens in Texas match up, then...

Texas is the only state that keeps the records of the immigration statuses of those arrested and convicted of state‐level crimes, thus giving the public its best opportunity to study the crime rates of illegal immigrants compared to other groups. Illegal immigrants were 27.7 percent less likely to be convicted of homicide than native‐born Americans in Texas in 2019. For all crimes in Texas in 2019, illegal immigrants had a criminal conviction rate 37.1 percent below that of native‐born Americans.

The increase in crime under republican governor Abbott can't be blamed on illegal aliens, who are less likely to commit crimes than native born Texans. When the governor is supporting an indicted felon as his Attorney General, that probably filters down to people generally.

95.8 Percent of Inadmissible Aliens Using CBP One App Released Into America: Homeland Security Committee

Republicans on the House Homeland Security Committee have found that 95.8 percent of aliens who sought appointments through the government’s mobile app for immigrants in recent months were released into the country on parole with a Notice to Appear (NTA).

That’s more than 266,000 otherwise inadmissible individuals out of more than 278,000 who scheduled appointments, according to documents the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) provided the committee covering the period Jan. 12 through Sept. 30 of 2023.

“These numbers are proof that [DHS Sec. Alejandro] Mayorkas’ operation is a smokescreen for the mass release of individuals into this country who would otherwise have zero claim to be admitted,” said committee chair Rep. Mark Green, M.D. (R-Tenn.) in a statement on the release of the Customs and Border Protection One (CBP One) app statistics.

Just say no to bailing out Biden’s border crisis

One of Biden’s most outspoken critics on border security has become New York City Mayor Eric Adams. He has learned firsthand that when a president doesn’t enforce immigration laws, every community is a border community. It is estimated that New York will spend $5 billion this year alone on the immigrants who come to New York after Biden catches and releases them into the country.

After Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas sent Adams a letter last week telling him how New York could better handle the immigrants streaming into his city, Adams responded, “Any plan that does not include stopping the flow at the border is a failed plan.”

He is right. Spending more money on housing, food, and healthcare will attract more migrants. The only way to solve the problem is to stop letting migrants in.

GOP accuses Attorney General Merrick Garland of stonewalling as courts struggle with migrant surge

Two top Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee demanded answers from Attorney General Merrick Garland on Friday over how his department has been running the immigration courts, where a massive backlog of cases has fueled the Biden administration’s “catch-and-release” approach for processing of migrants at the nation’s southern border.

Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan and Rep. Tom McClintock, the California Republican who chairs the panel’s immigration subcommittee, have been pursuing the data since January and say 13 separate inquiries have gone largely unanswered by the administration, even as the backlog gets worse.

They say the data they are requesting would shed light on the bottleneck and why the administration is having such a tricky time solving it.

You can't blame Abbot because the Biden Administration is illegally cutting Texas fences, to allow foreign criminals to commit heinous crimes nationally.

Republicans complaining that more people are being apprehended on the border. :|
They liked it better when Trump was letting them through.
Here's why it's different:
iu

And here's why it's not the big issue; in 2000 there were 1,600,000 apprehensions, ten times the maximum of the last few years.

More political theater from the republicans who are increasingly agitated about the civil war going on in their own party.
The reason it went up in ‘20 was Title 42 allowed migrants to “try again” if they were caught with no penalty.

The Texas state House of Representatives passed three bills Thursday morning intended to bolster border security.

One bill sets aside over $1 billion to construct border barriers, and the second increases sentences for human trafficking.

The third — known as House Bill 4 — would allow local police to arrest and deport illegal migrants.

God Bless Texas!
All states must take action on the mass migration problems because it's not happening on the Federal level. Now, NY is offering free one way plane tickets to illegal migrants to anywhere in the USA.

Kudos to Texas. Praying other states will follow suit.
