My family and I had and am expriencing some major spiritual attacks from people coming against us, and at some point I told God I would testified about it because eventhough we had experience so many things he did not allow the enemy to destroy us. The theme of the service went with my testimony so I thought I would testify that week. I did go to God in a short prayer to asked him if it were okay to testify and I thought I felt a push in my spirit to do so eventhough I wanted to wait until there were a finality in the situation. I thought showing faith to testify of God's goodness even before he brings absolute victory.
Usually its hard for me to testify or talk in public and I am more comfortable testifying of God's goodness through music and songs so I rarely talk and testify in front of people. I knew the testimony was long because the situation was complex and happened in a long period of time so I went up and was testifying about the attacks of the enemy. I kind of lost track of time trying to explain what I had experience, but I felt like I needed to say some things; it was my first time really. Next thing I knew the mic person kept opening and closing the mic while I was up there. My mother and her friend kept doing signals for me to stop, but I wanted to say a few things that I felt were important. Then my mother stood up and embarrassed in front on the congregation by doing the whole zip it gesture. I try to wrap it up after which I eventually did.
Then the lady who was visiting the church with the group said she wanted to pray for me and was saying things which had me confused. The attacks were coming from an aunt and her husband with the source from the husband's mother, but the woman was talking as though it was coming from family curse. It seemed like she didn't quite understand my testimony. She told me to put my hands up while she was praying and I have this tremble issue since young and would even tremble when I am not in social situations. While up there I was rubbing my thumb to try to keep my hand from trembling and she asked me what am I doing? I said I was nervous, and she took it as something from the enemy. It went down hill from then on. After my testimony I felt very confused about how things turned out. The sad thing is I sort of have a public phobia and it was hard for me to testify, but now I have this regret on whether I should have done that.
May be I lack wisdom and should not have shared as much, but I did pray for God to help speak what he wanted me to. Now its going to be harder for me to testify because of how my mom, and others were disrepectful towards me when I was up there. I took longer than I should, but I didn't feel that they should have acted disrepectful like this. Also there had been people in the past who took a long time to testify and they were not met with this type of embarrassed. Right now I am a bit confused and embarrassing by this whole situation. I just find it almost humerous that I finally had the guts to go in front of people and testify and to have this blow in my face somehow.
