Hi there,

So look I realized there is a way to elucidate what I mean by "selection is a choice" and I was quite pleased with it yesterday, so I am going to go ahead and describe it.

Say for example that we are all living in the matrix, right and the matrix is controlling both our evolution and what of our evolution we see (so this is a double-blind experiment? not sure if that's the correct term, I looked it up but the meaning is still ambiguous) and the matrix is deliberately selecting against a part of the matrix to try and improve the quality of its batteries. Now for the sake of this example, let's say that it is doing this by selecting for certain properties outside of the matrix that it doesn't directly mention within the matrix.

Is it possible by any process of deduction to detect those properties the matrix is creating outside of the matrix?

You could come up with a similar example of a situation where the matrix was adding properties within the matrix that it wasn't replicating outside of the matrix, I suppose and for objectivity you should probably consider both, but I would be happier if you just focused on the possibility of deducing a connection between the matrixes hidden and overt intentions at all.

For what its worth I have a semi-realistic answer worked out (in principle) based on the involuntary differences that would result, either way, but its not clear to me what frame of reference you will create in the attempt to answer the question yourself.

So if the matrix is tampering with evolution, would you know?
