I have one question. Where do I get the peroxide? Is it a liquid or powder?

Hydrogen peroxide is a delicious liquid oxidant frequently used to clean open cuts. It is also fatal if ingested in high doses. You can buy it at a local drug store for very cheap.

I am trying the colgate simply white at the moment, I didn't know you were meant to keep the gel on until the next time you brush your teeth so I wiped it off but now I don't so, I'll keep ya all posted on how blindingly white my teeth get.

I haven't used peroxide on my teeth. It probably tastes bad. Regarding natural things, one of my chemistry teachers in high school brushed his teeth with baking soda. I guess that might work, but otherwise there aren't any homemade teeth whiteners.

I found this discussion group talking about natural teeth whiteners. Sounds good, too bad I don't have the H202 at home but I'll buy some, luckily it's cheap!

i read all the above posts,and i agree that some of the things arent what they say because people at school with stains from braces and stuff it doesnt -didnt work on. my mom buys night crest strips too and she says she has to make sure the tooth she puts it on is completely dry or this gel wont stick.i have fairly white teeth because im young and havent done the coffee,tea or coke cola thing.but,still i wanted my teeth super white and used it stuff was nasty!!! i could only hang for 3 nights.felt like i had dried gel junk on my teeth and you cant get it off til morning when you brush. its a 14 day supply for $11.they have got to come up with a better way the tube is like tiny!!

One of my good friends uses crest whitestips and her teeth are beautiful and white. She always gets compliments.

I tried to get the peroxide from the chemist but the lady working there said that it will strip the enamel off my teeth, so I was like well I guess you know what you're talking about and didn't buy it. I wonder if that's true?

i have tried the brush on colgate whitener, its pretty good. i had good results

We've got that here now, I didn't have good results from the brush on gel. Very bad, it didn't do anything!

there is something bleaching or something u can do for about 150 dollars, expensive, b ut it works really well, i havent done it but my friend whose a dental nurse has and i am going to do it eventualy

I am a dental assistant and have studied this stuff. It works differently for different people. If you are going to try it just remember to not get a very high percentage of peroxide though, because it can make your teeth and gums very sensative. If you have any fillings on your front teeth, where people see when you smile at least, I would talk to your dentist before doing that, because it may not color the filling.

I only got 3 percent. It kind of fizzed in my mouth, let's hope it works.

Oral B whitening Strips forms to your teeth and does not move, but i have not used them. I got good results from crest whitestrips, but they did move around a lot which was quite anoying.

I've asked my dentist and other people I know have asked their dentists as well, as to what the suggest. All of them suggested Crest White Strips as a good alternative to bleaching. You can get two one-week packs at Sam's Club or Costco for about $50, which is a great deal; can be used for two people.

I was skeptical of the strips but after this thread I will be purchasing some this weekend.

I tried the brush on gel from crest and it was more work than help.

Right now I use a whitening pre-rinse by listerine and brush with advanced whitening by colgate. I have noticed some results after 3 weeks and doing it at least 2x's daily. but I am very impatient so I think I am going to add th strips to the routine.
