  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

A small one from the college days. It's nothing cool, just some stupid frat letters that at the time seemed cool. It's on the ankle and pretty inconspicuous, so I forget it's there and most people don't even notice. I have a good buddy that's an artist and does a lot of custom designs, they're cool looking on some people but not really my thing.

It is a pirate ship but not based soley on the Black Pearl . Although I do love me some Johnny.:) I've since added an octopus and treasure chest to a little bit of space we had left at the bottom to complete it. I'm still trying to figure out what colors I want. . I think my octopus is going to be green and purple and just traditional colors mainly for the rest.

I love seeing other peoples tattoos and hearing why they got them.

This thread is fun, I love looking at peoples' tattoos. Personally, I've never seen or thought of anything that I'd want on my body forever. I like it the way it is, I have pretty skin and some really cute moles and freckles. Plus, I would look re-diculous with a tattoo, lol. Just a personal preference, but I really like seeing all the different stories and artistry behind them on other people.

But, yeah. Awesome stuff guys, keep it coming!

Well regardless, it's an awesome pirate ship. I totally think you should put a flag like this on top... in honor of Jack... even if it isn't the Pearl. :)

Haven't got any tattoos yet but I have 3 planned. My first is a swallow with my mums name, date of birth and date of her passing. I want to get that on my leg, just up from my ankle on the outside. This is in rememberance of my Mum.

The next is a cherry tree bonsai in blossum on my shoulder. I want this as I love plants, they are part of my life and I love bonsai.

The thrid is a cabbage tree going up my leg. Cabbage trees are my favourite tree ever! They are beautiful. Google it if you don't know what one looks like. But for this one I just have to find someone who can draw a nice looking cabbage tree.

Just one tattoo so far, which is a Charger bolt on my left shoulder. I currently have a 50 dollar tattoo coupon for a local shop, but I haven't cashed it in yet. I'm saving it so I can use it to pay for part of a better tattoo, rather than just a cheapskate tattoo for free.

Haha. No Padres tat yet 'til they quit dilly-dallying and do something to improve the team. I'm pretending to ignore them 'til they start playing the way the Chargers do.

Time to start looking for a new team then, cuz that's not gonna happen ;)

I just keep putting it off. I'm not worried about the pain, I just want to make sure that the person that does it is safe and clean. Thats all that worries me
I've gotten lots of tattoos from different artists.

All you have to do is WATCH them take the needles, out of the sterilized packages, make sure they they have gloves on the entire time that they're touching the equipment and also make sure that all the equipment is covered, even the wire that runs to the tattoo gun. Go to a shop that is well known and ask them about their sterilizing techniques. If they say they sterilize their own needles, walk out. The needles should be placed in those red biohazard containers for proper disposal and not be reused.

It's a lot safer to get tattoos nowdays. You just have to do some research yourself.

Though I can't say I've got a barbed wire on my arm (it'd look more like a droopy wire), I do plan on getting my first tattoo this week once I get paid. It will be the Hebrew word "Rapha" (in Hebrew letters) on my calf, where my disability is rather evident due to the muscular atrophy.

The story behind it: I was born with spina bifida, which causes permanent nerve damage to a portion of the spine, resulting in at least a limp (if not paralysis), skin desensitization, muscular atrophy, urinary incontinence,
hydrocephalus (water on the brain), scoliosis, mental growth impairment, ADD and/or ADHD, and myriad other problems. I have some of those. Obviously, a disease that is so damaging cannot be cured completely by modern medical techniques, and such a procedure--if it existed--would cost more than the average American can afford.

I will not die with spina bifida in my body. I will one day find "a wife of noble character", and it is my personal belief based on faith in the Lord's promises that at the moment of our marriage's consummation (the wedding night), I will be healed of my spina bifida. I hesitate to prophesy so boldly, and may the Lord keep me from prophesying falsely, but I must also speak in faith.

That tattoo is a monument to the Lord, that others and me will not forget what the Lord has done and will do.
