  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I have three tattoos. One on my right shoulder, one in the middle of my back at the top of my spine, and one on my right calf.

None of mine hurt, though I was told repeatedly that the one on my spine would be very painful.

I don't know if I have photos of them floating around. Maybe I could take some.

The one on my spine is the Chinese character that would represent "S." The one on my right calf is a butterfly with tribal. And the one on my right shoulder is a heartagram (juxtaposition of life/death) with tribal and a Chinese character meaning "alive" in the middle.

This was my first tatt. I just wanted one, and that's what I chose. :p

This actually represents my life in Christ. I chose to be "alive" in Him, rather than in the dead world.

The butterfly one was done before I came to Christ, and I was drunk when I got it. I'm supposed to get it fixed soon. YAY!

Awesome! So we have the same birthday AND we both have heartagram tattoos! Here's mine. I took the typical heartagram design but made it into a celtic overlapping style. My best friend and I got it in the same spot.

This is his, and mine.

Well, that's because we're cool. :D

I wish I had gotten mine about three times as big as it is.

The next piece (after my lady bug behind the ear) is going to be very substantial in size. I have a pretty large frame, and I've decided the "dainty" tatts look goofy on me.

Mine is small, but given it's location, the size is appropriate. Let's just say we got both of ours in the same spot... our "sternums". So I won't be posting a more panoramic shot. lol.

Anyone in here have a tattoo? Where on you and what is it of? Is there a story behind it?

I think small tattoos can look awesome. The barbed wire band on the upper arm looks so sexy on men too...

i have four, all on my lower right arm. two of them are just tribal designs that one is right by my elbow, and the other is band around the middle part of my forearm to help lead the way to a sleeve when i get on that again, if ever. the other two are religious. the one on my wrist is a 9 pointed star with words in the point that represent the greek words for each of the fruits of the spirit. just the first letter of that greek word. then on the inside is the greek symbol for Christ the Conqueor. then the other is a tribal symbol for the Trinity.

so now we know how i'm a walking contradiction. two christian tattoos on my body but yet i'm agnostic. i don't regret it at all. someday i may come back to the Christian faith. not anytime soon tho. and its a vital part of my life. it has influenced the very core of who i am today regardless if i believe in it or not. i see so much good in it, but yet i see so much questionable to it. but regardless, i do not regret getting those tattoos even tho i'm agnostic now.

i may post a pic later. my computer is basically still at builiding up level. and plus, i'm filthy from work. i've got grease and dirt all over my arms. had a busy night with the machines.

But now that I am nack to work, soon as some priorities get taken care of, i want to get a scroll design with all 4 of my kids names done in a old english style, either on my arm or on my chest near my heart

You don't like it? Ouch.:sorry:

haha, no no. i didn't mean it that way. :)

you said:
Maybe I'll get one, but I'm in no rush. It would have to be something worthwhile though, I'd hate to be stuck with a tattoo that I didn't like.

what i meant with my comment was, you have the same reason why only half of my forearm is covered. i don't want to want my arm sleeved unless its with designs or symbols or something that i know i'm gonna like always. so in no rush to get the full sleeve done yet.

i probably should have explained it better, but i just didn't think about it actually having a negative connotation behind it. now i can see how it could be taken that way ha. so my bad bro. :)
