  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I have one...it's on my lower back. I got it years ago and it's cheesy, lol...it's my zodiac sign (Leo) and it's blue. My hubby teases me and calls it a blue gummy worm.

So, I want to get it covered up with something more relevent to my life and the things that are truly important to me. Not sure what yet, but something really pretty and girly no doubt. I've been thinking of a phoenix (soft and feminine, though, not scary like some that you see) for quite a while...I might go with that.

My little brother just got 2 new tattoos (he has 12 total) the other day so I'm really excited about getting mine now. He just had his second daughter a few months ago, so he got a tattoo for her to match the tattoo he has for his first daughter...he has matching Lullabye Moons (the sleepy moons with the night caps) with his daughters names on the inside of each of his bi-ceps (he says so he can always hug them close to him). He also got a guardian angel on his shoulder (his collarbone, actually) in memory of our Gram.

I have three.

My first is on my left hip and it's a treble clef with a rose entwined through it.

The second is on the inside of my left ankle, and it's my favorite. It was custom drawn for me and I got it at the end of a very bad time in my life. It's a dream catcher, and in the circle-part where the webbing would normally be, there's a wolf standing on a mountain howling, and the moon is just rising with the sunset behind it. It sounds cheesy but it's really, really pretty, and it meant a lot to me when I got it.

My third is over my heart and is a dog's pawprint imprinted/embedded into my skin. It was for my first, and beloved, puppy who died when she was 13 years old -- she made such an impression on my heart that it was appropriate.

I am probably done with tattoos now, but if I get the itch I might still add to or elaborate on the ones I already have, rather than get a new one.

I grew up very anti-tattoo. I saw them as desecrations.

I still probably wouldn't get one for myself, but I think I'm kinda interested in the idea of DW getting one. It would definitely have to be concealed for my eyes only though.

Maybe one on her butt that says "Property of Redguard Inc."

My husband wants me to get one that says "made in heaven"....as long as they don't mess up and put "made in Taiwan". :)

I have a lady bug on the top of my left foot that I got 5 days before dh and I started dating. On our honeymoon, I got an icthus with the Greek acrostic in it, and hubby got a lion that is identical to the ones on his family crest.

I chose my first after my nickname. The second I chose because that is how I want to be identified. Philippians 3:17~Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.

That probably isn't the interpretation most would use, but it is one way I mark myself as a Christian.

I have 4 tattoos. Obviously I love them or I wouldn't get them. ;) Being somewhat of an "artsy" type myself, I really like good art and therefore good, well done tattoos.

None of my tattoos have anything to do with my marriage, nor does my husband have any. If he wanted to get one, I would not have a problem with it.

I currently have one. It is on my right thigh. It is a winged heart with baby footprints in it and a jeweled crown resting on it. There is a banner with my girls names on it and the verse Matthew 19:14 "Let the little ones come to me for the gates of heaven belong to such as these." I plan on having my son's name added along with two outstretched arms with a small blanket draped over them.

I also want a dove between my shoulder blades. It would represent my marriage and my life in the Holy Spirit.

Unfortunately, good tats are pricey and we have other more urgent things that need our money. They will have to wait.

I really want one, and have since I was 15 or 16. I was going to get one at 17, but I told dad I'd wait til I was 18... Then 19, then 20 and now 21.

However, I think I may get one this year (finally). I'd quite like one on my shoulder of a cross with a heart hung on it (theres a song that means a lot to me with the line 'Love hung on a cross so we could meet' (specific design) or design something with a swahili word in it.

Me and my sister have decided to get matching tattoos! We used to own a wedding planning facility called Peacock Gardens. We really loved that place, but we couldn't manage it along with our full time jobs. (And my oldest sister), so we had to give it up. But in memory of Peacock Gardens we've both decided to get Peacock tattoos! I'm so excited!

I have 2. They are both butterflies.

The first one is on my right ankle- I got it on a whim when my best friend at the time turned 18- we went for her birthday. We got matching ones except our colors are reversed. It's unfortunate that we let an extremely manipulative person between us- I guess when you are in college you're just not "grown up" enough to spot bad people. I've moved away and would love more then anything to see her again.. I still love her to death and think about her all the time. I've tried to find her online but I have no idea where to start.

The 2nd one is on my lower back and it's BEAUTIFUL. I carried the drawing around in my wallet for about 2 years before I actually got it done. I said to myself if I still liked the design after 2 years, I'll get it. It's still missing a peice which I would eventually like to have added on. My original plan was to have it all done when I went in, but after a few hours my back was aching and decided to hold off.

I've been craving another tattoo for awhile now, and I think I might get it done this summer if I'm still not pregnant by then. The one on my back is all black, and I wouldn't mind having some color added somewhere. I guess we'll see :)

BUT eh I turned 18 a few years ago and decided 'BUMP IT IM GETTING ONE'

first tattoo-I fell asleep while it was being done and its a kanji symbol that means faith (left forearm)

2nd-I almost sued the tattoo artist b/c he was hittin bone with the needle and looked like it was a carving
"Pray As You Go" my grandfather use to tell me that everyday before he died(right arm)

3rd- made me drop a few tears lol.
My daughters name Ana (right chest)

I actually just finished designing a tattoo! My DH and I are both planning on getting them (small, discrete - they're more for us than anyone else). It's a monogram with both of our first initials and the initial of our last name. I just have to find a really good tattoo artist now to do it. Anyone know any in san francisco!? :)

I used to be friends with a tattoo artist, and spent lots of time in his studio in my late teens. It took me ages to find the right idea, but I eventually designed my own - it's a beautiful silver celtic cross, with a rose growing through it, on my left thigh. I had it done when I was 21.

Last year we had our 10th anniversary, and we both got tattoos to celebrate. Mine is an angel on my right shoulder - I spent 10 years finding the right design this time!

Hubby's is only half done - he's having it finished for his birthday next month. He had a cover-up on his left upper arm, and it will have a band below it.
