This would explain why CNN's cratering ratings.

"To work at the CBC in the current climate is to embrace cognitive dissonance and to abandon journalistic integrity."

Nice to see a liberal with integrity.

All liberals have integrity. Don't you mean that conservatives have no integrity?

Somebody talking about why she quit the CBC explains low waitings at CNN? How exactly?

You'd think with all the problems in liberal media, it would be easy for some conservatives to swoop in and create a good, reliable news outlet that did real reporting and solid analysis without any of this pandering clickbait.

Wokeness, pandering to the race hustlers and alphabet people while ignoring real news. It is the same cancer at CNN as CBC.

There is a substory about how in 18 months everyone else changed around this reporter?
That is not a valid analysis by this reporter. Are they intellectually challenged? Claiming that everyone else changed?

Yes, according to her. Who cares how many months it was? The fact is, that's the way the news is today, just watch it, I really don't anymore.

That is not a valid analysis by this reporter.

Why not?

All of the networks have taken a big dive in ratings in 2021.

Because in 18 months it was the same people she knew before or not. She not so bright one way, has nothing to whine about the other way.

After the 2020 election frenzy, yes, but has nothing to do with the point of the OP article.
You didn't specify exactly what you were referring to by CNN's ratings cratering.

The point of the OP article was that she no longer wanted to work at the CBC because she felt the culture there had changed in a short time. You were the one who extrapolated it to the ratings of a different channel in a different country.

I don't doubt CBC is a den of wokeness because Canada itself pretty much fits that description, but it does seem unlikely that she went from the MOST liberal to the MOST conservative in the space of 18 months. She doesn't make clear what she's suggesting - the entire staff was replaced, they all shifted their views 180 degrees, or (more probably) they played along with the new corporate philosophy of wokeness? She also provides no specifics as to how the corporate wokeness actually affected her on the job. It sounds a bit more like a commercial for her new landing spot than a real critique of the CBC.

IMHO they are cratering because people are tired of their woke, PC, not to mentioned extremely biased reporting, see former host Cuomo.

I also have noticed in the US the wokeness plague has stepped up in the last 18 months, at about the time of the BLM/Antifa riots that caused billions in damages and killed or injured 2,000 law enforcement personel. As she states in the article, the press which formerly was somewhat of a blue collar occupation has become the plaything of Ivy League grads. (Somewhat the same trend we've seen in Hollywood.) The Information Class, that does nothing to make this country work or improve our lives. Do you even need a master's degree to be a journalist? It's about asking questions in an open minded way.
