Tapes?

Hubby and I are not big into videotaping anything, let alone our private moments. We sort of feel that the reality of it will be no where near as good as our warm, idealized recollections. We didn't even videotape our wedding!

Really, this sort of erotica, even for ourselves, doesn't interest us at all.

You know, I thought I'd be into this sort of thing and a lot of other "kinky" things, but once we were married and I experienced love-making for the first time it was so different than I had imagined it and those things- videos, toys, etc.- hold no interest for me any more. The way to make it "good" is that he and I are totally present.

We don't have a camcorder, but we'd do this if we did. Chances are we wouldn't like it as much as we think we would and therefore wouldn't try it again, but I'd like to test the theory first

We have a private tape. It's been kinda fun making it. We're not embarrassed by it at all though we're pretty comfortable with our bodies and each other - though of course we wouldn't want anyone else to see it!

And no, I don't think it's the same as porn at all. It's still between my husband and I so not bringing a third party in or going into lust/adultery territory.

The underlying issue behind this topic is probably the fact that good sex over a period of time requires some creativity, some genuine effort, a real comfortableness with one's own and one's spouses bodies, and a healthy enjoyment of sex. For some their tape was fun. Others will do something else. It's those too uptight to do anything that's fun and creative who can miss out on experiencing a greater level of sexual fulfillment.
