No I am not absolutely sure they are forgeries but I have read Josephus and several analyses of the issue and the passages do not sound like Josephus to me. The second passage about James may be valid. The first stating Jesus was the Christ is almost certainly at least highly embellished and maybe completely fraudulent. I am not totally sure, just virtually certain. That does not mean I do not think Jesus existed, just that the passage in Josephus isn't valid evidence for his existence. As far as the Bible as evidence goes, using the Bible as evidence of things in the Bible is circular reasoning.
